Why Stalker 2 has the best AI - ALife 2.0

I’ve been waiting years to play Stalker 2 just because of A-life 2.0

You see, the vast majority of crappy games have basic scripts and spawns NPC around you, but NOT stalker 2.

Stalker 2 is using A-Life 2.0

Often, the game world exists only in the player's field of view. A-Life 2.0 is a simulation system for life in the Zone. Factions and mutants are fighting for living space, migrating, capturing new places, or retreating to safer areas. A-Life is what makes Zone truly alive and unpredictable."

So don’t worry, what you experience with the NPC is related to bugs.

Aftter the A-Life 2.0 patch, all NPC will be simulated they will not spawn around like it is right now in stalker 2, it is just a bug confirmed by Devs on Reddit.

I prefer to wait for the patch because it is unplayable at the moment (in my opinion) , I find no pleasure and this bug prevents me from enjoying A-Life 2.0 and stalker 2 , I have waited years I can wait for the next patch.

Don't worry and trust the Devs, the game will be Amazing when the A-Life 2.0 bugs will be fixed, also some performance fix maybe.

I'll believe it when i see it.. but i don't hate on the devs either way i still am enjoying what we've got so far even if some of it is a bit overpowered and broken..

I'm 33, so I doubt it. Glad you dropped the act though, there's some real idiots in these discussions that are running some serious damage control right now. It's very obvious that they never intended to ship the game with working A-LIFE, most likely because they couldn't meet the deadlines, and they're just pretending that this is due to an unexpected bug.
Would have been much more respectable if they were just honest and said that they simply didn't have enough time, most people would understand, because of the war and stuff.

To be honest its still too early to tell if it was a lie, the Alife was in the game at some point, people have found mentions of it in the code.

I'm currently 51 so i started when Pong was released.

Well no, in fact the A-LIFE is actually broken. As the UE system renders differently then say, XRAY Engine. And the UE system doesn't render or calculate things beyond a certain distance from the actual player. It's quite limited in a sense.

Ah what a world to live in. To be waiting for a feature that was suppose to launch with the game, but was delayed/disabled until further notice with no idea when it is going to be re-enabled. At least they removed it from the store page as to not give false marketing to others. Can it be good? Yeah, it can be. Is there any expectations as of now? No lol.

The game will be supported...Really have no problem with the way spawning is RN but if it can be better..then sure. I'll take it.

I want that Co-op tho...the rest is when the real mods kick in. The devs did most of what they needed to do...oh cutscenes could be a lot better...entire game runs great but when cut scenes roll it's a lagfest.

No, they've been developing it under UE5 for many years.

Again GSC is well aware of this and is working to improve upon that, as well as address many game bugs. There are some broken items, characters and quests. This will take some time to fix. I doubt they want to be like Microsoft and hurry up with some kind of "STFU Hotfix" only for that to back-fire on them. So please, be patient. If you are really that upset with the current state of STALKER2; just go do and/or play something else for right now and come back to STALKER2 at a later time. I had to wait around 2-years for Cyberpunk 2077 to be "worth playing"

I've not played the game yet, but from what I've seen and all the feedback from other players, it seems to me that ALIFE is just straight up not in the game and was not meant to be in the game upon release. No one is yet to see any patrols and everyone says that the zone feels empty. There's no way ALIFE was working for the devs and then suddenly it bugged out upon release, yet they're acting like this is due to some bug. To me, this is the main reason why I don't want to buy the game, since ALIFE defined the previous stalker games.
