Do you believe they'll be able to fix the Input Lag Issue? And soon?
Hi,
the title says it all, I have two questions:
1) Do you believe they'll even be able to fix the massive input lag at all?
2) Do you believe the fix is coming soon?

I can't wait to dive into the game but I'm really being repelled by the gigantic input lag...

AMD Frame Generation turned on? That causes massive input lag.

Nvidia reflex.

Yeh im using nvidia reflex and kinda surprised the standard reflex only is available without the option to boost. But still the input lag remains massive. Thus the subject of my thread.

If it's massive then there's something weird going on. What's your specs?

Are you sure its input lag. Digital Foundry reports frametime spikes. They recommend capping the fps to 30.

s2 tweaks mod fixes this issue or, at least, alleviates it to a playable amount
don't recommend playing it without mods atm. Chances of getting soft or hardlocked are also very high.
Wouldn't expect fixes from developer this year, tbh.

Input lag only exist if you turned ON FSR

it is not input lag. there is no input lag. there is different sensitivity for x and y.
and if you enabled frame generation it will cause input lag no matter what.

The game feels sluggish despite the fact I run it in 4k around 80-90fps all the time, like there's some weird latency low reactivity though. Weird

I saw some mention that turning off frame gen and dlss resulted in a slightly smoother gameplay even though FPS dropped.

Mouse smoothing and acceleration is on by default with no option in menu. this may be why you feel an input lag? try putting this in your input.ini to turn it off!

"C:\Users"user name"\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Config\Windows\Input.ini"

paste:

[/script/engine.inputsettings]

bEnableMouseSmoothing=False

bViewAccelerationEnabled=False

AND SAVE!

Thanks a lot for the advice and the link thats something I was looking for :steamthumbsup: I really hope they'll be able to fix the optimization issues and improve both the FPS and latency. I'm scared they won't
