Random fps drops to 5-10
Have random fps drops going down to 5-10 fps.Tried turning off dlss and fps boost.
Mainly that happens when theres loads of npcs around or at camp locations.
Also tried downloading optimiser tweak from nexus mods but see no difference.
Only going to manu for a 1-2 mins brings the fps back but can go down again within a few secs.
Ryzen 5 3600
Rtx 2060
32gb 3200 ram

Is there any solution for this?

So running 80% of the time with 90fps on mid preset with no problem but getting fps drops while min requirements are gtx 1080 which is 8 years old.
Didnt ask for any smart ass comments.Obsly its something to do with the optimisation
Btw theres people with rtx 4060 getting same ♥♥♥♥ should they get 4090 by the logic

Its not your hardware, there are gamers with RTX 4070 TI with the same problem. Also i have this issue with a 3070 TI. It is a problem with the game it self. And as far i have read in some posts here, the Defs working on a fix. So you have to wait for the next update.

It's not you. I have a similar rig with the same issue. RTX2060 w/9700k. It's aging, yes, but it should be playable on mid to lower settings. Instead, what we get is 2FPS and unreal engine crashes.

It'll get patched...
It's for like 1 minutes tops

Be glad your getting 90 fps in combat with that rig...I have the same CPU...the things getting old

I got a 4090 and 7950x3d, set up Stalker 2 to prefer and use the CACHE cores via process lasso primarily, and the early game / prologue I was netting between 140-160 fps, soon as I hit the first town, I was down to 80. I got curious, and changed everything from EPIC (Default) to LOW, and my frames literally didn't change from 80. CPU shows 30% usage, GPU never diverts from 90-100%.

I'm thinking optimization, and currently at 113 minutes, I'm debating a rebate for the time being since while playable to some, I'm a FPS junkie, and prefer 120FPS min, and we're not quite there yet with the optimization as new as it is. I'm not stressing over it, just not gonna deal with it. Worth mentioning I do have the NVIDIA drivers for it as well, not sure what it'd look like without that.

I have 13700 with 3080, 32gb ram and m.2 ssd and I'm having the same issue. Like after 30-40 minutes of playing when I enter any highly populated area I get an immediate FPS dump like from 50-55 to 4-5 fps. Returning to main menu and reloading the save doesn't help, I must restart the game and then it's fine. Really annoying and it seems changing anything in the settings isn't affecting it. I'm sure they will patch/optimize it soon.

I had this problem too, but setting my global illumination at medium fixed it somehow
Такая же проблема на RTX3070TI и 12600kf, сбросил всё на средние (DLSS - DLAA), лаги ушли. Вероятно это из-за какой-то одной настройки, но времени и желания копаться нет.

I have exactly the same problem with my i7-10700, 32 GB RAM and RTX 3070. Hope the devs will fix this soon because it's definitely an application issue.

Fk that seems to help tbh.Set up illumination to low and seems like it works. Thanks

it's not about his pc. most people have the horrible drops in the cities and after reloading saves for a few times. i'm using a 4080 and 13900hk and playing every other game in 2k max setting. is it a 5 year old gpu too?

Yea but sometimes the drops is still there, looking forward for the devs to fix this up.
If we are honest, you really couldn't enjoy the game on such low end hardware at the moment, because medium settings causes the game to look like a game of 2006. I don't use a higher end system, too. But even with my Ryzen 5600x and a RTX 4060 the game is only enjoyable with some very nice mods on Nexus. I recommend "Optiimized Tweak base" combined with "Stalker optimzer". They improve the performance very good.

the game is really poorly optimized at loading in alot of things, especially NPC models, if you run into a town faster than the NPC's load you will get some heavy performance issues until they all properly load.

until the devs start fixing things themselves, take the fallout style approach to issues and just download a laundry list of community made fixes.
