Stalker 2 survival mechanics
I never played the first one, but is Stalker supposed to be a semi-survival game, like Days Gone? Where ammo, medkits, and materials are hard to come by? In Stalker 2, I have so many medkits, ammo, vodka, etc., that I’ve stopped looting. Now, I only pick up gear to sell and leave everything else. Is it different on Veteran? I am currently playing on stalker

I'm honestly not sure why it gave 10+ med/bandaids so early on, maybe it's just overall "easier" than the og games to stockpile?

And here come the hardcore sweats to ruin the game here as well.. Did you get tired of ruining Space marine 2 after everyone quitted.. Not everything needs to be insane.

Right now i have 125 bandages 82 medkits, 78 bottles of vodka and enough ammo to stock an armoury

On veteran you don't really get to stockpile that much if you want to upgrade or repair anything as the costs require you to sell most of the stuff you find. But I think they should reduce the amount of loot (consumables) on veteran a bit more.

Depends who you ask. It was always kinda resource sap, not strictly "survival" game. Lot of it was due to the jank, you simply missed alot since there was stat calculating your accuracy and various weapon upgrades, condition etc. And you simply needed to use lot of stuff to survive. Mods are its own beast.
Difficulty only makes you take more damage and deal less damage, not recommended. Resource abundance like medkits and such is imo due lack of time to balance this mess in time. So they simply throw medkits and bandages on player to make sure they can progress.

I agree they give too much, mods will save us.
