BloodSuckers ARE SUPER OP
I get it—mutants are supposed to be tough in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but why make them this overpowered? I’ve got a decent idea of how to take them down (kinda), but their health feels like overkill. I actually had to download a mod to lower their health—something I normally wouldn’t do for something so small. But for me to go that far, its pretty extreme and i like mods for cool stuff like adding more weapons lol.

From what I’ve seen on Reddit and forums, I’m not alone here. Plenty of players are struggling with these mutants. To the few people saying, “It’s not hard,” that’s great—for you. But instead of dropping the classic “get gud” line, how about being helpful and giving some actual pointers for newer players?

It is pretty funny reading the beta humans stupid remarks of "git gud"

It's not their health. The devs gave all the mutants armor. So, when you encounter a stupid tanky one, switch to AP rounds. It solves the issue for the most part and saves you a lot of ammo.

no bloodsuckers where always fast and lethal they never had armor up the ass and 1-2 close range shotgun blasts always killed them even 1 was enough if enough lead connected with the face.....

At first I thought they were bad, but with better equipment they are easy when solo. They can still be annoying in groups though. I had a hilarious interaction in my last play session where the bloodsucker kept retreating and finally hid behind a pole, so I just gunned him down as half his body was visible still lol

100 bullets per monster is not what Id consider fun game play mechanic...

A bloodsucker attacked the starting village. The whole village shot at it, for over 2minutes. A dozen of NPC with AR, SMG and shotguns, shot nonstop for 2 minutes. It still was alive.

Not OP at all.

Oh, this was with the mod that reduce their HP.

only because you dont like that mechanics doesnt mean its bad

I think they're ok-ish, but the problem is, that you don't have access to hollow points during the early game! while you can buy/find AP rounds since the very beginning. really weird design choice, should've been the other way around imo.
