Single digit fps after respawn or loading save

So i have spent the past 3 days troubleshooting this problem. Tried every single graphics option from lowest to high, 1080p and 1440p, fsr on and off, tried performance mods etc.

Still, every time you die and reload, my framerate tanks to around 5-10fps and stays there. Cpu usage is basically nothing. 10-15% overall with stalker showing between 1 and 5% usage in task manager. The only way ive found to "fix" it is restarting the game.

All other performance issues aside, this is making this game 100% unplayable. This has been an issue since launch, and after reading the post the devs made about an upcoming patch, nothing performance wise was mentioned. To be honest, im starting to feel like ive gotten burned.

Weird thing is, every single video and review about this game shows no issues, and even vids showing the same hardware i have are showing still decent framerates with no issues, so im not really sure exactly what the deal is here. I know theres MANY posts about this issue, but no reviewers or youtubers has seemed to mention it.

I had a similar issue, turns out my ram (16gb) was full and offloading onto a slow hdd by default. Fps dropped to 1 - 5 . Fixed it by changing the paging file location (virtual memory) in windows settings to my ssd.

Well, i have 64GB of system ram, and my vram ive never seen go past 7.7gb. Also gameplay is "fine" (as in swings from 30-50ish but at least technically playable), it only happens when reloading a save.

happened to me once in the poppy fields...I reloaded my save and it fixed it

Funny Things i dont have these Problems i just play Around 140 FPS ande sometimes Get for some deconds to unde 95FPS thats all lol Maybe Time For you Here Look onto your Bricks

on my Case on Poopy Field i dont have this issue Nor after realload etc...

Weird thing is, sometimes if i try reloading ill get double the fps...into the teens...and a lil more cpu usage, but still far from playable and under 20fps even. If i try a 3rd time, no dice. Ive also noticed, when possible, if i can get out of the general area where i load in, a ways away, frame rates will start to level out. Dont happen all the time, and its not always possible to do so, especially if you end up in an 8fps death loop. But its got to be connected. For some reason the spawn areas are basically not using the cpu at all.

Had similar problems, i changed start parameter in steam and added this:

-xgeshadercompile -nothreadtimeout -NoVerifyGC

Worked fine for me! Maybe it helps u too...

This work for you? Your issue is also happening to me but it happens, what seems to be, randomly, not only when I die.

Havent had a chance to try it yet. Was going to but got caught up in other sh!t. Gonna try it tonight and see. If you do in the meantime though let me know!

I've also have this happen to me constantly, my normal fps is fine but the stutters are crazy, and seems like the more saves loaded the worse performance gets like after 4 reloads it's basically unplayable and i have to restart my game again
