Bloodsuckers are ruining this game for me
The quanitity that I have been fighting these stupid mutants has been going up and my tolerance and firepower I have to kill them has not kept up.

Five. FIVE F!@#% bloodsuckers at the same time. Two minutes later I ran into another one. Less than ten minutes later and I'm fighting 3 or 4 at the same time.

I don't like a single part of fighting them. They do ungodly damage, and are the tankiest enemy that I have fought so far. When theres only 1 they are a joke. The problem is its not just one anymore.

I'm SOOOOOOOO Over these things. Go away. They arent fun or scary. Just EXTREMELY obnoxious. I would happily install a mod that just straight deletes them and replaces them with literally anything else

i think (not sure) there is a mod to lower there HP on https://www.nexusmods.com/ but apart from that your stuck with them

There is a mod that adjusts the health pool of mutants, which makes them much less tanky, though there are no mods that fix the broken AI spawns rn.

I hate to download that cause it nerfs everything. Bloodsuckers are the only thing I have a problem with in terms of health. Controllers are a bit excessive but they seem extremely rare

https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/23?tab=files

This mod contains several files, each modifying one moster type, so you can pick.
to quote the mod description:

Individual mutants -20%/-40%/-60%/-80% HP pool paks files, so that you can have full control over how tanky or squishy you want the mutants to be.

A generally acceptable "Balanced for All" preset is available to fix the mutants tankiness in general while still keeping a good challenge.

Spawning system is broken and mutants are just damage-sponges.

I wonder how the game decides to increase the difficulty of the spawns. It started with just 3 military dudes or 3 fleshes. I'm now finalizing Garbage quest line and I can randomly run into (get spawned behind my back) 2 bloodsuckers. It is not only that there are now 2 spawning at a time, they are also much harder to kill. The first one I killed in a cave took 4 buckshots from crappy Toz. These current ones can easily take 5 or 6 hits from kitted out M860.

Fighting two at a time is stupid as you can get knocked down by his lunge attack and before I get up I die to 2nd one immediately attacking me.

Are mutants weak to explosions like other stalker games?

Can edit the creatures hit points etc.... Some one has a mod already. Gamma pack?

Get the mod to reduce enemy health. I've been using that mod to scale down enemy health. You can lower the health by up to 80% on the creatures that you want. It's pretty useful.

Obviously a patch would be better but the mod is an easy fix.

I honestly feel like Samuel L. Jackson in Snakes on the Plane movie in regard of Stalker 2's Bloodsuckers. They are overused

Users: Devs please don't scale difficulty by health, scale difficulty by enemys beeing tactical.

Id rather see enemys take cover, engage me smartly.. heck i feel like the dogs in Stalker 1 has more sense of survival than any enemy in stalker 2.

So please, smarter ai, not bullet sponge

In the games' defense, bloodsuckers were always OP as hell in the other games. Why they increased their tankiness in this game is mind boggling because I seem to recall in-lore, they are essentially decaying/dying from the inside constantly, which makes them squishy. Hence why they suck blood.

You are correct on all counts. However I don't recall fighting 5 bloodsuckers at the same time in the Shadow

The biggest issue isn't the spawns or the health: its the enemies behavior that is the most annoying. dogs all swarm and attack you at the same time. psydogs can spawn like 9 mirage-dogs constantly, bloodsuckers almost always knock you on your butt and then run off and can repeat that attack over and over and over again as soon as you stand back up in some cases.

the enemies do not behave like they are supposed to. bloodsuckers need more attack types instead of ones that insta-stun you over and over again; psydogs need a cooldown to prevent themselves from constantly spawning more mirages, and regular dogs need to have better pack AI

almost all other mutants have similar problems but they are far less annoying than psydogs and blood suckers by far

mutants should be scary, not annoying

Fair enough. I don't think I ever encountered that many in any of the previous games all at once. At most I always ran into like 1-2 in them as iirc, they were supposed to also be rare sights. So either the games AI is bugged out and is wigging out, or it's something else. Considering that I will literally be standing still and an enemy NPC spawns in right in front of me as I just dropped one before, it leads me to believe that it is the former.
