Recommended settings for 1080ti ?
Just curious if anyone had any suggestions for FPS improvement.
Most of my settings defaulted to high, but I'm noticing dips often when playing.
Does anyone know which settings affect framerate the most?

What are your other specs? I have a 1080ti on default settings and have no real issues. It's a buggy mess but the game plays fine.

That seems to work really well for him, and/or the previous segment of the video.
As a fellow 1080ti camper I would experiment with this and the supposed way to disable raytracing which is apparently forced as ON for everyone no matter what settings you use in game(you need mod or ini changes).

I imagine the fps gains from removing raytracing could be used to bump up other settings as long as the raytracing being disabled doesnt make it look like crap ofc.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you might want to use high or even ultra textures in games as long as the GPU has enough video memory for it I would guess the 1080ti does, with other effects like light/shadows turned down, since usually the textures are saved in their high/ultra resolution meaning if you lower it you can take a fps hit because now the game cant just use the base textures.

At least the game is more than playable with a 1080ti, silly people thinking the 1080ti is a weak card just because its old :2016roasted:

use fsr and turn everything with lightning and shadows to low , texture settings could work on max because of 11gb ram
Thanks for actual constructive feedback.
This game has obvious optimization problems... just look at all the popular mods being released that target FPS.

yup same. it's not a real pleasure when it gets crowded and the fps going down to like 30 - 35 but overall i get on medium to high around 60 - 70fps outdoors, 80 - 115 indoors but in towns it's down to like 30 - 35. going lower than medium doesn't give me more fps it just degrades the visuals. allthough it's playable i really would love a newer gpu to enjoy a smoother experience.
Some settings don't effect performance much. Some effect town areas more than other areas. Turn hair to low regardless.

Watch your vram usage. Most likely thing to cause issues,

Frame generation might cause issues if the gpu is struggling already. Varies between places/settings, etc.... Sometimes frame generation is great sometimes it's terrible.

Its funny how you gamers bash on 1080ti, i still have my old PC with it around. Even tested this game on it, on all HIGH +TSR 100% + FSR3 + reflex .... steady 60fps and zero stutters 1440p.

The main culprit is the RAM, on 16GB it can cause stutters and a crash if you get a small memory leak in trader bases, other then that its smooth.

For a 2017 card, its worth every penny.

P.s. I switched to my old test PC to play this, since im playing on locked 60fps and its smooth, i save myself cost on power bill a f 4090+latest I9 dish out every month.

Got a 1080ti. 1440p monitor. Playing all settings medium just fine.
I do have a 7800x3d though.

if you plan to use 1080ti you better take processor at least some server like Xeon and at least 48GB of ram, and also probably take ssd and new motherboard. In this case you be able to increase performance.
Shows how little you know about CPUs hey?
Server CPUs do not do well in desktop game scenarios, not at all...
What cpu you use? Stalker 2 runs the same (like ♥♥♥♥) on lowest to highest setting. Intel 7700k cpu runs in red (80%) and 1080ti is not even going past 10% use. Check taskmanager to see what is your bottleneck. If GPU is hardly utilized, its a cpu problem.
In all seriousness, I'm running a 1080(not ti) sli setup, not that it matters in this game, and a 6700k. Stalker 2 runs perfectly fine on my 1080p screen.
I used it as a litmus test, like Crysis back in the day. Suffice to say, new PC can wait another 6-12 months at this stage.
for a 1080ti you definately will want FSR3 Framegen to be on, make sure Nvidia reflex is set to Ultra in nvidia control panel, and then adjust the rest of the graphics settings to where a framerate is comfortable for you

I have a 1070 on a Ryzen 5 2600x as a second system I could test it on but I don't have it install on it at the moment

Yep, I was just running TSR so it was not above 30 fps, changing to FSR and Frame gen the visuals pick up and frame rate is 60+. Initially controls were laggy but now there is no delay and very smooth.

I run on all High at 1440p UW (3440 x 1440) with my worn out 1080Ti, coupled with a 7980XE, on its own 960 EVO M2 SSD.

It is no where as good as 4k but this 1080Ti still works fine. No it won't look as good as 4k or later cards with DLSS/raytracing but it sure as heck has not stopped me with poor performance.

Very much upgrading (this PC was 95% free to me) but the fact this still performs well enough keeps my pennies waiting for better gear (and 7800x3d shortages).

Late to OP but the 1080Ti is fine and within minimum specs (at least 30 fps at 1080p with TSR upsampling).

I don't think I have reflex on however, so need to play about with settings more. But if it ain't broke don't fix it?

Reflex reduces input lag while having FSR3 Framegen on so best to make sure its on ultra
FSR frame generation and FSR turned to performance mode
