Some STALKER tips to help out with money and general gameplay.
Use this mod if you can.
https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/2?tab=description

Using Ver2 gave me 100+ FPS and no stutters.

-----

You'll want to get the scoped AKS and use that to headshot people to conserve ammo or use your pistol.

Use a shotgun with buckshot, this is the best way to kill mutants.

If you can sneak up on people, use a silenced pistol or your knife.

You can use your knife to break down boxes that has labels on them to loot - like the med boxes, food boxes or ammo boxes.

Using the butt of your weapon can degrade its durability so use your knife instead.

Sometimes you can just eat food instead of using meds to heal if you have too much food on you weighing you down.

You can unload other peoples weapons for ammo.

Anomalies will respawn artifacts after some time and generally will respawn artifacts after an emission.

Do basic math to see what is worth carrying back to sell. Sometimes guns aren't that good compared to some grenades or some type of ammo.

Try your best to never get hurt - play tactically, use the lean function. Quick save often.

-----

I hope some of these tips help you guys.

At scanning spot 3, put EVERYTHING you can into the tiny chest in garage opposite of the house before scanning, it activates a cutscene and inventory nukes your loot from scientist bunker and bandit group before that point. Plus, the chest has a few items in case you missed this anyways.

Funnily enough, selling ammo ammo and artifacts seems smart. Yeah you can lug guns and armor back to sell but they're 3-6 kilos (guns except the LMG which is 10~) for guns and 3-8 for most armor.
I did it for a while but eventually it just gets annoying.
I just cheat engine put in 1 mil money.
And you know what?
10 hours later, JUST FROM REPAIRING MY GEAR from the randomly very quick deterioration killed that money.
Like.
I saw that my upgraded SEVA-1 at the time would have cost 63 THOUSAND to repair. That's *nuts*.

No need to use 3rd party cheats.
Use the in game cheat. When you go to sell something, drag an item that has multiples into the buy section, then at the bottom you'll notice the items you're saying will now be sold at Vendor max value.

in the starter village...
put ammo in the sell window
retrieve ammo from the sell window - keep the 'ammount' part open
hit the sell button

now press the retrieve button

you have sold your ammo
you have kept your ammo
rince repeat ad infinitum - congrats, you now have infinite money

Here's a tip that saved me a ton of money, I used to run around with Skifs pistol for silent shots, an EMR for mid-range combat, a shotgun for mutants/short-range combat and an m701 for long-range combat. That + a suit was expensive as hell to maintain and buy ammo for.

Then I realized how much the revolver destroys everything. Once I got it, I could easily sell the EMR and basically just use the revolver as my main weapon, regular ammo one-shots anyone in an exo-suit with headshots, but it costs like a pistol to repair. I used that revolver from when I found it all the way to the end of the game and had 500.000 coupons at one point.

If you like revolvers, consider it.

Will be patched.
Can't patch Cheat engine.

And yes the Rhino revolver is disgusting in the good way.

Edit : A good tip is to LITERALLY NEVER buy ammunition unless (and even if) you are swimming in money later and know you'll need hundreds for some story missions. Repair costs currently will *cripple* you. 63K to fix a 40% durability SEVA-1 suit? Unplayable without spending hours looting, grinding, between main missions. Soooooo, padded.

A bonus tip with the above is to find a few weapons you like and keep 2 types of ammo, maximum (to have more space). Sell all other ammo & stop picking up "junk tier" ammo (pistol ammo, red smg ammo) up. I highly recommend you get a solid AR for weapon #3 slot and a shotgun (Cracker or SPSA) for "Get off me" mutant killing. SPSA in particular you can do 2-4 shot bursts really fast to kill annoying stuff like Poltergeists much faster vs carefully aiming with ARs for half a minute. Buckshot is very common, and almost if not literally all other "special ammo" makes weapons degrade faster (LITERALLY WHY?!)

Remind me how much they said a year's worth of Stalker's earnings are within the zone. That repair cost is insane without mods to balance it out for less loot runs between story/side missions.

This is even better than the OG method LOL the economy wasn't playtested. I'm going for the Rhino, It sounds really useful.
