Controller stick drift fix?
Did anyone figure out a fix for the controller stick drift yet? I have my deadzones in steam settings on max, tryed anti-deadzone settings, changing the sensitivity etc. Nothing works really. Can't aim properly and the constant motion makes me feel sick after minutes of playing.

No your contoller is probably fine, the game handles controller in a very weird way

Stalker 2 doesn't sometimes recognize when a controller is available. It doesn't cause STICK DRIFT. What does cause stick drift is a broken stick.

You're 100% wrong. The game 100% has a MAJOR controller drift issue. The DEVs have even acknowledged it. Are you just completely uninformed on the matter or just trying to be rude?

There is actually other issues. My controller is not recognized as it should be. I can't get the bind screen to pop up 1/2 the time. Some binds seem to be hard coded. It's a mess.

This is absolutely an issue. I have an xbox elite that works no problem in every other game except for this one. It just kinda slides off, drifting is the best way to put it.

Twin and Puffy are just trolling.
Im not. Stick Drift is allready a well known problem with Controllers, you cant come here and say "The game has stick Drift", get another name for it.
Stick drift is easly fixed by relacing your controller PERIOD.

Stickdrift doesn't mean the controller is broken. This is by design and due to manufacturing tolerances. Every controller has it more or less and depending on the dead zone settings, this occurence is more or less severe -most games consider this and you won't notice anything - Stalker 2 doesn't. If it works for you, gz, you got lucky.

I got a brand new xbox elite controller and it's only this game that is causing trouble. Also tried another older one (not elite). It was actually better but still noticeable from time to time.

Lastly, if it was the controller and not the game and only a few ppl with "broken" controllers, complaining about this, there wouldn't be an announcment from the Devs to fix this issue in some future patch, don't you think?

Xbox published game doesn't have proper controller configuration.
LOL

Why is that funny? The game is listed as "Partial Controller Support". It does not have full support which is very clear on the Steam page.

This game also came out for Xbox and apparently they have the same issue.

Yep, definitely has issues. Already acknowledged by the devs.

I really have to spell it out, common sense has become mythical sense today.

My only fix was adding -NoGamepad as a launch option then modifying the controller in Steam Controller settings. Stalker 2 hard codes some of the controller settings making it a mess.

Please, tell me more about this method. If I add -NoGamepad, then the controller stops working in the game.
Previously, I tried to change the layout in steam, but the settings are constantly not saved and behave strangely - the values do not change and do not switch, as if they are blocked. For example, I tried to just change the basic buttons - to put a jump on another key, but nothing works. I think this is a problem with steam settings.
I heard you can use Steam's built-in controller options to fix dead zone adjustment.

there's a windows app called "xbox accessories" that will also let you program features like this and more for some controllers, I've ran into some issues with the steam input for some games, so I turned off all the options under the controller settings for steam

the downside to this app is you have to log in with your ms/xbox live account to even use it, but once you save your settings you can just log out and quit the app

External gamepad settings
guide button no
xbox controller no
playstation no
switch no
generic yes
Then just grab a preset that uses q/e and other keyboard/mouse buttons to left right dpad for example. It works on my ps4 v2 controller, no drift no problem.

Yeah, I gotta fix. Buy a new controller.
You obviously haven't played the game with controller yet. So why giving such a useless answer? My controller is fine.

Drift is nothing to do with the game itself, its either a deadzone issue within windows and the xbox software or the sensor on the stick is constructed from a thin fiberglass sheet with copper traces and the copper traces are wearing out.
I noticed the camera is too sensitive to the slightest stick movements in this game. Your controller is probably fine. Although I had xbox series gamepads die to stick drift issue, got new ones now and still the camera likes to turn unexpectedly in stalker2 unless I'm making sure to avoid it.
