You're 100% wrong. The game 100% has a MAJOR controller drift issue. The DEVs have even acknowledged it. Are you just completely uninformed on the matter or just trying to be rude?
Stickdrift doesn't mean the controller is broken. This is by design and due to manufacturing tolerances. Every controller has it more or less and depending on the dead zone settings, this occurence is more or less severe -most games consider this and you won't notice anything - Stalker 2 doesn't. If it works for you, gz, you got lucky.
I got a brand new xbox elite controller and it's only this game that is causing trouble. Also tried another older one (not elite). It was actually better but still noticeable from time to time.
Lastly, if it was the controller and not the game and only a few ppl with "broken" controllers, complaining about this, there wouldn't be an announcment from the Devs to fix this issue in some future patch, don't you think?
LOL
This game also came out for Xbox and apparently they have the same issue.
I really have to spell it out, common sense has become mythical sense today.
Please, tell me more about this method. If I add -NoGamepad, then the controller stops working in the game.
Previously, I tried to change the layout in steam, but the settings are constantly not saved and behave strangely - the values do not change and do not switch, as if they are blocked. For example, I tried to just change the basic buttons - to put a jump on another key, but nothing works. I think this is a problem with steam settings.
the downside to this app is you have to log in with your ms/xbox live account to even use it, but once you save your settings you can just log out and quit the app
guide button no
xbox controller no
playstation no
switch no
generic yes
Then just grab a preset that uses q/e and other keyboard/mouse buttons to left right dpad for example. It works on my ps4 v2 controller, no drift no problem.
Drift is nothing to do with the game itself, its either a deadzone issue within windows and the xbox software or the sensor on the stick is constructed from a thin fiberglass sheet with copper traces and the copper traces are wearing out.
