Steam or gamepass?
Is there any reason to get steam version over gamepass? Obviously i like steam more, but it does seem like the game is in overall bad state hmm

If you're not sure, that's what game pass is for. 4090 here and yes, horrible state atm.

Games from the MS store sometimes take longer to get patches compared to Steam so that might be a factor.

yeah i got to the point where i had to save a guy from a building full of bandits, near the magnetic cave, and mid fight fps dropped to 20 xdd men this game is really fun, i hope they improve fps and fix bugs because i could easly see myself sinking many hours in it

I spent the entire day on launch trying to get the Gamepass version to NOT STUTTER,
Tried everything in the book, from editing my pc components, ini files, control panel, Nothing worked.
Figured id buy steam version and just refund it if its bad, Boot it up on EPIC dont touch a single thing and it runs flawlessly.
FOR ME, the gamepass version almost ruined my entire opinion of the game and would have kept me from playing the game entirely. But I decided to try steam version.
I would not recommend the gamepass version one bit.
4070 i7 32 gb ram, I get 120fps in towns and 150+ in the open world

Try gamepass, if its really bad like it was for me, try steam and just refund if its the same, but the gamepass version didnt work for me.

see this is funny, game doesnt stutter at all for me, i play on 2060 rtx and some cheap i5, i lower resolution to 1080 and i ger around 40 frames on all low, BUT if i cap fps at 30 and use lossless scaling i can get 60fps by framegen, it does feel kinda meh with input lag but no stutters lol, idk what resolution you play it but try to stay at 1444p max and enable dlss, i heard that did help some people with stutters

If your feeling generous and don't mind paying for a game that needs extra time to cook ->steam, game pass if you feel you might just play it for a bit then come back a year later and play it for real to the end on steam once its in a better state.

The game will be discounted by then so Gamepass fee+its new steam discounted price in a years time will probably be about the same or less than what you will be paying now.

At least thats the approach im taking.
