How do you deal with the floating balls of lightning?
On hardest difficultly. Not the one you encounter at the start, but later on.

They track you no matter what you do, and you can't throw a bolt to discharge them. Seems like you just have to eat the damage, which is like 90% of your hp. That wouldn't be so bad but they do damage to your armor and guns which results in massive repair bills that make them not even worth interacting with.

yeah i wanna know this too ive tried everything its super inconsistent to bait them out and try to dodge out of range. its insanely stupid and unintuitive. there are a lot of things where i wonder if these devs ever played their own game.

Yeah i made a post about this the other day, got no reply. So guess players just dont know yet?

I doubt its that deep but maybe i had too many metal objects in my invetory? Either way i just full sprint through a spam heal now haha

I don't think you are supposed to deal with it, like with many other things in the Zone. Better to avoid it

Shoot them and kite. They die. They're the floating legless mutants. I found them to be less difficult if you are aggressive.

It seems that if you have equiped an artifact, that is when they track you.
I dropped the artifact to test it and it went straight to the artifact and destroyed it, or ate it.

Sprint past them and dodge to the side when they start to "ignite"

OP, if you have the MICA artifact equipped - take it off. The lightning will stop to chasing you. Maybe some other artifacts can attract this thing too.

yeah its like all the other ai in the game. as soon as they have 1 pixel line of sight on u they forever wallhack on you and just home in. i think they are meant to be patrolling and u just avoid them or take dmg. unfortunatelty the dmg u take from these can easily be 20k depending on what gear ure carrying. not that im ever gonna repair anything in this game.
