Bro they were in the first games. Military often had them along with veteran stalkers and were available late game with advanced suits or helmets
Also this is Ukraine not Russia
(they already used all the survival animations for basic functions like Anomaly, might as well)

the old games , really had it all , that logical made sense
But then you add to the fact that the game has the worst flashlight ive ever personally experienced in 30 years of gaming. The cone of light is abysmal and its range is laughable. I honestly think that my phone flashlight is better than the one in stalker.
Then there is the crushing darkness the game suffers from. A lot of developers want to make dark games, that is fine, but they don't understand that the human eye has evolved adaption so that we can see in the dark. It's not just pitch black.
No they aren't. In fact they are crap. And they can't compete with Ukraine and you are comparing them to the US lol?
