How do you feel about no fast travel with such a huge map ?
Yes you can unlock guides, i am talking about being able to fast travel back to town ?
way the game designed it seems you go outside do 1 quest coming back repair gear go again to do another mission or explore another area. if you stay too long in zone your weapons and armor and ammo will go down to the point you not effective and it will cost a fortune to repair it.

it really make progression slower than in other games due to fact you have to go back often . and on top your limited inv force you to comeback and sell gear in order to make room for the next area to explore and loot .

do you find yourself going back and forth or do you guys just stay in zone forever and only coming back to town if a main mission or side quest reward tell you to go back to town

there is fast travel, most towns have a guide you can talk to and pay them like 2k to move to a differant town

There is fast travel if you talk to a guide like the first person who responded said but for some reason got a clown.

That said, real stalkers don't use fast travel

If the world was more interesting I wouldn't mind it, as it stands at the minute though the game is mostly a walking simulator with the odd random enemy spawn and that is pretty much it so with that in mind no fast travel makes the game extremely tedious.

Yes but op had already said that.

I like it. Fast travel, while convenient, change the experience. My biggest problem with the game is the frequent 5 meter away enemy spawn rate (very noticeable at certain locations) and lack of A-life.

Same. Need to be able to avoid conflict if we want, as is now nothing exists more then 100 yards out, really kills the stalker feel

I would be OK with fast travel back to a settlement in the current zone perhaps with a couple of conditions such as not during an emission and not when at red burden (but still OK at yellow burden).

no need for fast travel (the one you want, not guides) when the player stash is shared across zones

immersive :summeryeti:

yeah it really would have been 10/10 had they brought back the fast travel from stalker COP

Yeah all other issues aside i'm kinda sick of games using massive empty worlds as an excuse for boring fetch quests while using "immersion" as an excuse for no fast travel.

Wouldn't be so bad if the world felt interesting / lived in but currently i'm just running 100s of meters until the game decides to spawn a pack of dogs or bandits directly on top of me

Spoiler alert but a quick DuckGo search says there is fast travel at some point.
Poot Nov 23, 2024 @ 3:28am
Nope.. its part of the game and adds to immersion..

People who want this don't get the game..

If it had a proper A-Life I'd say they should have done like in CoP where you can ask random squads you run across to take you some place.
