How much bullets i need to kill a poltergeist?

Playing on medium difficutly. Met the poltergeist and dont know how to kill him, like i was shooting him about 80 bullets but than i was killed by spawned bloodsucker near me (lol)

damn i thought they were made unkillable in this game i unloaded at least 20 shotgun shells and 2 grenades into one and did nothing. i did come across a pyro one but i just ran from it, no way in hell was i dealing with that thing

i was shooting a flying blue ghost or something like that, so two of varta's soldiers were shooting it. It was like about 2 minute fight but than i died from another ♥♥♥♥

Shotguns and explosives are your best bet for geists. Grenades are easy to hit them with in this since they run off and hide in a corner. Just figure out which corner and chuck a grenade.

Poltergeist goes down in 3 to 6 buckshots from close range on Stalker difficulty. It depends how many pellets you hit and what body part you hit as well. My first kill was 6 buckshots and the one at Ribs in the underground was 3.

Compact ghost? Does not sound geisty.. .sounds like you were wasting ammo on effects. If the rounds were passing through, that was not the poltergeist.

They're very much physical and fairly obvious when you're dinging them. There are 3 flavours - standard, electric and fire.
