Stalker 2 working just fine on Arc A750, what about on Iris XE?
I'm on a non gaming laptop that I sometimes game on. It uses Iris XE graphics. That being said, you'd be surprised at what it can run. In my experience minimum requirements are a suggestion not a concrete fact. I figured for this game it was a 50/50 shot that I'd be able to play it but then I noticed this -

-a recent driver update with specific support for this game for my graphics/processor.

Also saw this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7PS6OUS4RE - a guy running it with little problem on youtube on his Intel Arc A750 integrated graphics. I don't think that is at all far off from what I have.

So I updated everything I could and tried it out. I was able to get into the game and the menu was super smooth when I lowered the graphics settings and resolution which is almost always a very good sign that the game will run but when I launched a new game I was met with a UE5 low level fatal crash "pcd3d_sm6 but it is not compatible with pcd3d_sm" error.

What gives? Anyone familiar with this type of error? thanks for any help! With any luck maybe we can get some of us with crappier laptop igpu's up and running with this thread.

Hello there, also a user of intel iris xe. Seems like the game won't run because of an error with directx. Even though intel iris xe should run directx12.1 (and sm6), it starts the game in directx 11, yet uses shader model 6. starting the game with -d3d12 or -sm5 args also does nothing since the game really wants to start in dx11 with shader model 6. I've asked gsc support about this problem but haven't recieved any meaningful answer. Hope we'll get some support soon.

ARC A750 is a desktop card and no Iris Xe is not and it never was anywhere close to it.

One is DX12 FL12_2 and the other is barely FL12_1 without 64bit atomics that UE5 needs for Lumen and Nanite.

I've explained this in the other thread.

So i finally watched that video on PC and it quite clearly states "Nvidia GeForce GTX1650" in their in-game settings menu.

This game is using Nanite:

Under Supported Platforms:
DirectX 12 with Shader Model 6.6 atomics, or Vulkan (VK_KHR_shader_atomic_int64)

Intel GPUs did not support this up until DG2/ARC and Xe2 (Battlemage).
Not even Fortnite runs with Nanite on those GPUs, people have to either disable Nanite or use DX11 path.


Try to take things less personal next time.

I have a question, how to open the game as shown in the video below, on the GTX 960 because it has a DirectX 11.0 Feature level and the game was running on a DirectX Feature level from 12.1. GTX 960, or rather, Maxwell 2.0 architecture does support DX12 Feature Level 12_1 including the 64bit atomics.
You need your Windows and GPU drivers updated due to Agility SDK.

Also note that desktop GTX960 and laptop GTX960M (Maxwell 1.0) are 2 entirely different architectures despite having similar name, that's just the usual Nvidia gaslighting users.

There are a coulpe of dlls in youtube video description + 1 nexus mod. Claims to run on dx 11 (albeit with frequent crashing, I think)
