- Mutants are bullet sponges. Way too tanky and never worth the effort. They are very expensive to kill just because of the amount of ammo it takes and very rarely worth the effort for what you might find in their lair.
- Humans are usually 1-2 headshots to kill, weapon dependent and range also. However, body shots they can eat A LOT before going down.
Shotguns are still king of the cave explorer - but I managed to dump 6 shells and a full magazine of 5.56x45 into a Controller and still not kill the thing. Take that how you will.
I wish I could say this but there's a nasty audio bug that's borderline unfixable where all guns are as quiet as movie suppressors. Gotta wait for a fix I guess.
Been head shotting bandits with the starter pistol, and they drop in one hit.
Mutants are real bullet sponges, though. Or maybe that DB shotgun just sucks?
armor seems to matter a lot. shooting center of mass makes NPC's feel like a bullet spunge but i haven't encountered a human NPC yet that wouldn't go down after 1 or 2 9x18mm pistol rounds to the head either
recoil is pretty heavy on some automatics but the technician has upgrades that make it better
