for a 4090 an 850watt gold is recommended so I went 1200w platinum.
I'd still do some standard tests at this point. You shouldn't have a failing CPU but still.
Could you post the crash callstack and error message (whatever the game, it doesn't have to be Stalker) ?
Install the microcode fix for the Mobo makers overvolting those chips.
Disable XMP profile. This is the only game in my Steam library that required this.
Rare crashes now.
Not everyone has constant crashes. Mine only happen sometimes when I don't cap at 120, and sometimes when I quickload. This didn't start until 40 hours in, and I just passed a major event. Some people say it started for them after completing the quest for Quiet, and when they loaded a save from before the quest, the issue went away. I hope my file isn't borked.
For reference I've already crashed that much playing Indiana Jones and im just a couple hours in.
