Should i wait for the patch or play?

Everybody is talking about bugs etc. and I don't want to ruin my first experience so can you overcome the bugs? Is it really that bad? Should i wait for the patch or go for it?

same! i wait for a few patches. i love stalkers too much to spoil my experience.
especially the balancing still seems to cause problems

Totally up to you, I am playing it and loving it. Play it, don't play it but you shouldn't let others make up your mind for you. If your first sexual experience wasn't that good should it stop you having sex at all?

Wait for patch - the game is awesome but there is so much bugs that break immersion and perfomance is all over the place.

Not sure, if there is a list of open issues/bugs somewhere publicly visible and how problematic they are.
I also wonder if they release a patch before weekend.
I wouldn't wait for "the patch", which solves all problems. I think, they will fix most severe bugs first..

I would wait until the modkit is out so maybe just maybe someone can port over A-life 1.0, right now it is not present, which has been partially confirmed on reddit.

On a large map like this with no loading it will be a tall order, some might say impossible, which is probably not far from the truth.

Unless you're buying into the whole "we're working on it" bs, let me ask you this, whom do you trust the most?, someone who just want a good game with a unbiased opinion or someone trying to profit as much as possible during the peak of hype?, i leave that choice with you.

But if this is not enough proof then ask yourself why they never give you binoculars ?, perhaps they don't want you to see what's happening from 100m out and beyond. You can however still do that with scopes.

I guarantee you now that A-life patch you're all waiting for is never going to come, sure they can easily improve the spawn system which i believe they will, it's not very difficult in its current state.

But it will not be A-life period.

The game isn't really playable atm. Random crashes, some of us can't even get back into the game due to crashes.

you can playit for shure cose it have some degree of immersion

on contruary ull be dealing with broken mutants speacies they kind of bullet sponge currently and no good surroundings encounter spawn

For example sitting in 1 place in hostile surtroundings will constantly rewars you with obwious spawning around you bandits, mutants and random stalkers to hillarious point.

After most of those will fixed u can start anew on highest possible difficulty to make urself some thrilling expirience

If you have beefy PC then performance isn't that bad.
Bugs and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ spawn system we got right now on the other hand will sour things for you.
