Weapon Conditions

Hi, when you are in an encouter with bandits or other stalkers and you finish them. The condition of the weapons they drop is 9 out of 10 allways red/broken. So a minute ago they fought you with their guns but as soon as you pick them up, they are broken. so there is no realy value in picking up stuff. You end up looting and looking in your inventory then dropping stuff. this breaks the imersion whole scenic setup...

ahhh good point there. Traders won't buy them either, or at least that I have found. I find myself just unloading the ammo out of them as they lay on the ground and leaving them there.

EDIT: I did however find a shotgun and couple sidearms in the yellow. But mostly in the red.

Yes, i only unload them and dont pick them up since its useless....

It's pretty nasty all the useless loot guns, you do start to find a fair amount of yellow durability weapons which can be sold for pocket change sure but not even being able to see if the gun that bandit dropped is broken at a glance is pretty bad. That alone would fix it, then you'd know to just unload it and leave it.

It's always been this way with Stalker series. You don't pick red weapons. Just wait for a mod to sell/scavenge them.

This is the real answer, unless they drop a gun you don't have yet (progression is loot based, a NEW gun is gonna be better almost always) there's no reason to even check if you can sell it for the cost of 2 sausages and a medkit.

I do get the point that in the original its been the same. And i also get not all the weapons that drop are in "mint" condition, but this is just ridiculous
