Darker nights !
first of all, game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spectacular. If I pretend I don't see the massive fps drops in towns.

BUT, the nights are too bright!! in the OG's as well as in the mods, the nights are actually pitch black, you know, like in real life?? everytime a bloodsucker or psysucker or whatever jumps at me in those, I jump 10 feet in the air, its terrifying.

So why the hell this game took the modern approach and instead of dark nights they made it look like a day with blue filter?? Come on!!

I guess it's a nitpick, but things like this do help the overall atmosphere tremendously. Anyway, rant's over, game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome in general.

Maybe your gamma is too high? I can barely see anything at night most of the time.

lower your gamma, and enjoy being blind. With the right settings, you can become blind at night.

Dont know if there is NVGs at all yet, so you may regret that lmao

Why do people think natural nights are pitch black? Every game protagonist suffering from nyctalopia is just silly. Unless you're deep in the woods or the sky is so overcast you can't even see the moon, there's plenty natural light to navigate without issue.

I live in the countryside and, during night, you can't see your hand in front of your face, lol. And the game takes place mostly in similar areas, countrysides, forests, abandoned areas etc. And I'm not saying it has to be pitch black per say, but here, when you climb somewhere high, you can see as far as during the day, just with a blue filter on top of it, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Night lighting is *nice* stylistically but completely absurd in practice.

if you want darker nights, lower the gamma brightness

I do not agrea with you at all there, i do a lot of night fishing where there are no lights at all, and i use a red light filter on my lamps because your pupils do not respond to red light, musquitos dont see red light, and red light doesnt penetrate water.
Especialy on the Ebro river (no town or lights for miles around) where it is Pitch Black as you would call it, i can still see the other bank of the river over 700 feet away, and i can stil find my fishing rods, chair, bags etc.
