Why is 4 quick access slot only for 2 buttons?

I want to asign F1, F2, F3, F4. The lean doesn't snap back, even when you select hold. You click on it once it leans and doesn't snap back, anyoing. The button lay out is crap, Q and R should of been lean, F1 to F4 should be quick access, but it forces you to use only two buttons.

The quick items (f1 - f4) doesn't exist anymore, I guess to cater to console users. You have to quick press F1 to use an item, or HOLD it to use the other item assigned to that slot. It's a stupid change that makes zero sense. I hate this..

For lean I also had the same problem of it not going back when releasing the key, set lean to hold in options, save changes and then close and re-open your game and it should work as intended.

Can you rebind?
I was thinking i wanted Q and E for lean and to swap Z and C to quick access.
X is walk as well which is weird.

But in the seettings you can set lean , crouch etc to either hold, hold and toggle and toggle.

Hold is you hold to lean and it springs back when you let go
Toggle is that it leans on or off when you press
Toggle and Hold is the default. This means if you tap it HOLDS but if you hold the button then let go it will do what you want. But it means you can't do quick peeks.

But you need to set your default to HOLD and it should resolve at least one of your issues?
