see I usually do and been starting getting onto ledges to ♥♥♥♥ with the ai, but you will come across a mission where there is one in a cave and you fall into the cave so no turning back.
My only complaint is the knock down attack, completely unnecessary.
No mods in my game and I have only had an issue with the sucker in the caves. You can sidestep most of their attacks.
Why is this a discussion? you cannot dodge the knowdown attack. specially on the cave i'm mentioning.
So reading comprehension or short term memory heavily impaired, you take your pick.
Hopefully you can figure it out :D
-They move super fast. And by super fast I mean they could exit your draw distance in a couple seconds.
-They can teleport (probably a bug, but they can pathfind through obstacles)
-They have 2 different methods of disabling player control. Knockdown and the AOE scream.
-They do enough damage per hit to require a medkit for every individual attack.
-They are tanky, enough to survive multiple mags at point blank.
-They are do not suffer any way shape or form of stagger. If you plug 5 rounds of buckshot at point blank range into their heads, they won't stagger even a little bit.
-They spawn way too often. I feel like every time I walk into an anomaly, there's 2 or 3 bloodsuckers there. I seem to fight about 8 per hour. Remember there is no A-life in this game, spawns just happen randomly.
So my ultimate conclusion is, yes you can overcome this. But they are so extremely annoying to fight, and they are literally more common in my playthrough than boars. They're just everywhere all the time and they take so long to fight.
Mutants do seem to teleport but when they run away. If you get on some place high, they will retreat and magically appear when you touch ground again.
The issue with the knockdown attack is that it takes like 4/5 of your health, and using the medkit is slow enough so that they can circle back for the kill. And yeah they're way too tanky, hopefully they will fix it when they fix the armor issue. Bloodsuckers should take 3-4 buckshots to the face, not 20.
I have no issues with any other thing on the game. GOTY. Thankfully there is already a modding scene and we will be getting fixes to some things soon.
