Way, way too many bloodsuckers
Theyre end game area/cave mutants, in every other Stalker title.

Why are they 90% of what Im killing in this one from the first fight?
Also wtf are they doing in groups of two or more?

So far the spawning seems to work like
"player enters AOI, spawn bloodsuckers and maybe a couple boars or bandits after X amount of seconds"

♥♥♥♥♥ wack lol.
Cant wait for mods.

They aren't end game enemies and you haven't played any of the previous games if you think that

Had a poltergeist and two bloodsuckers at the same time earlier. With how spongy all of them area, you can imagine my "Fun" with them. Best part, they were tethered to a location, so I couldn't just run them into anomalies. Instead, I threw grenades at them and it called NPC's over to down them. Saved me ammo in the long run.

I used to own them on pc-dvd lol, have them all on here, completed them on here. They def only show up towards the end of the games, being one of the rarer mutant types n all.

Yeah i thought it was weird how it forces you to fight a bloodsucker right away i think u can run from it though and continue scanning not sure

Bro stop lying. Blood suckers appear in agroprom research thats only the 3rd zone in the original game. They are literally in the first zone of Call of Pripyat. You don't know what you're talking about

Yea, the 3rd zone, not first enemy encounter and then at any time in any AOI in the immediate area, from the start of the game lol

I get what your saying, but theyre def in the harder areas of the map, labs etc, and not that prevalent anywhere else. S2 theyre spawning in places like cow shed and b lining straight towards you, its a little much is all.

Its fun to get em for sure, they gotta change where they spawn imo tho. Cow Sheds is to close to "rookie village" to be spawning mutants like that lmao

Poi called hanger or something has like 5 inside 2 outside and their is stash in garbage that keeps spawning in blood suckers which i had to stand on a rock because like 7- 8 of them at the stash location all in garbage i think worse part is game just spawns them in.

I don't find bloodsuckers are used that effectively in this game. In the OG games they are highly memorable. That first encounter in SoC is burnt into my mind (it made me quit as a kid lmao, only got past it as an adult). The encounters so far in STALKER 2 are only memorable because they're an annoying slog. Their AI is also really bad, which is par for the course for STALKER games tbh, but pair that with an unavoidable knockdown mechanic they're just not fun to fight for me. For those that are enjoying them, I'm happy for you, but surely we can all agree that them being used effectively by the devs, spawning them under certain conditions and for certain missions would be more memorable and retain them as an intimidating, creepy enemy, rather than just another tanky mutant.

You Sir are correct 👍👍

It does for sure, my point being, thats still after multiple hours of familiarization and inventory prep.

I just found it a strange choice to make what would be many people first time in a stalker game to be fight with a higher skill requirement mutant n also to make it such a regular spawn.

Edit: Itd be like leaving vault 111 and theres a behemoth just chillin outside it and then finding out theyre also a half of the npcs you face.

Pretty sure you can still hurt them in stealth right? Or is it like Clear Sky where they are immune until they're right on top of you and de-cloak? I killed the prologue one with my knife... you can just sprint right past it tho. it can't chase you past the break in the fence. Shotgun or knife was the best way to kill them in previous games...I really don't think they changed much...this game is just like the previous ones but with updated graphics
