The Metro? - really?

The book "Roadside Picnic"(1972) written by brothers Strugatsky, movie "Stalker"(1979) directed by Andrei Tarkovsky and the Chernobyl disaster (1986) with real life after disaster from a closed zone around the areas of most affected by the effects of the Chernobyl disaster was an inspiration for creation Stalker game. It was transformed into a great fiction, while maintaining the atmosphere of the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

The Metro game was based on the book Metro 2033 novel (2002) written by Dmitry Glukhovsky and transformed into another fiction from fantasy story in the book at the beginning to the END. Cannot be match with the Stalker and Stalker with the Metro :lol13:

Only upcoming game named ASKET will be a close to the Stalker games

Or so you hope it will come close to stalker. The screenshots of ASKET looks fine, but remains to be seen whether it will translate to an actual game and not turn into vaporware.

its infinite because they dont respawn, you're supposed to complete side missions to get money, with that money use it to buy gear from traders and you're also supposed to continue playing the main mission like in every video game

or farm hostile npcs sell their gear and buy stuff

You don't seem to get the point at all do you? Why should it do anything differently in the first place? It is Stalker 2. It i what people want and expect it to be. It has 8-10 times more stuff to do compared to any Metro game which is as you already know are inspired by Stalker.
