No, hate, but what garbage do you have in your chest? All you need to maintain is your main weapons and armor. Toss the broken (red shield) ♥♥♥♥, sell the worn (yellow shield) ♥♥♥♥. Collect spare ammo, food, and medical supplies in your chest. I keep unique guns in my chest, but I don't maintain them as they are just trophies. No point in repairing broken late game guns you find early/mid game as there isn't enough ammo to warrant the expense, and by the time the ammo becomes common so are the guns.
Edit: don't forget to pick up every gun and unload it. Even if the gun is useless the bullets aren't. Even if you aren't using those specific bullets now stock them up. They may be used for a gun you want later, or at the very least can be sold later to buy stuff you will use.

If its like some mods for older Stalkers out there 60% is really low durability and you will pay ridiculous money. You needed to repair your suits like in 90% so it doesnt cost you kidney. Basicaly after every stroll to the zone you needed repair of suit and guns.

tbh i finished 1st zone and moved to 2nd zone to left . atm i have 12k . i have good armor , good helm i found by exploring . i am selling everything yellow i always keep shutgun and AK , i have 1 sniper rifle i found by killing someone . everything else i sell . overall money isnt hard to make if you follow main story and just explore

While it has always been a trend, it does seem ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wild even compared to the past games yeah. Not helped with more spongey enemies than master in the old days, and the cheapest pump action shotgun now being costly compared to the old days, etc.

I became an IL-86 lover for a reason. "Oh boy, a gun with an integrated sight that is cheaper than even half the 5.45 guns to repair!" and I am pretty sure that is gone in favor of "Costs more, scope not included" guns instead, until pricey fan fave GP37.

To circumvent the issue, use the glitch that gives 100% item value.

Put the item in the sale slot.
Right click it.
Click off the item
Put a stackable item in the sale slot, but do not add it (Aka hit sell all etc.)
Click confirm down at the bottom and enjoy your wealth.

Right now the economy is COMPLETELY against the player in every way shape and form.

Yeah Im hoping its bugged or if not then they just patch the prices. Its silly. Bloodsuckers take multiple mags of ammo to down on vet, but just that dmg to your weapon will cost thousands to repair. I think the economy isnt that bad its specifically the repair that is bad. I was making decent enough money, but I came back from a mission and my not close to broken armor costs 26k to repair. As it stands I dont feel like I can invest in anything. I found a bolt action broken super early that just sits in a box.
