Terrible FPS drops
I'm running 40-50fps, which is totally fine for me i dont care about getting 90 or whatever, but itll randomly start dropping to 5fps, and I have to close and restart the entire game until it stops and runs smooth, for about 5 minutes before it breaks again.

I know my specs arent $10K worth of parts but it can run basically another modern game just fine:
RTX 3050 Ti
i5-11260H
32GB DDR4 RAM 3200 MT/s
And installed the game on a separate 2TB SSD.

I know it SHOULD be able to run well enough, because for a few minutes it does, but then it suddenly breaks and i have to close it and restart it.

Use that engine tweak link that is marked as the answer and this:
Turned DLSS setting to FSR balanced, and overall settings to low.

Edit: It worked for longer than it was, but unfortunately, went back to being unplayable at 4 FPS.

Did this, turned DLSS setting to FSR balanced, and overall settings to low. It IS playable now. It's just pitiful that we have to do this to make it work, but this made it work for me, if anyone else sees this

3050ti was and is a crappy videocard. Stalker 2 needs at least 3070ti. Not mentioning optimisation from the devs.

Well nobody is buying a whole new rig just to play this broken game, so perhaps GSC should have lowered their requirements.

Not only that, but this game doesn't really look any kind of way to require top-of-the-line parts. It's not too much better looking than Fallout 4. Its just incredibly poorly optimized if it needs these super bad-ass parts just to run 50 FPS.

Turn off framgen, it's creating a horrible stutter down to like 4fps and 0%gpu usage then back up to 60-70% usage, turn off framegen and did through afmf instead and not had a stutter or anything and games running lush now medium/high/epic settings 1080p, give it a try...

You are CPU bound. This game needs lots of CPU right now.

Turning frame gen off instantly fixed this instance of stuttering. we'll see how long it lasts

I'm gonna test a few things that were said on here, as well as from G.S.C. Emailing me some supposed fixes, and see how it runs
