So i was doing the poppy field side quest and when i grabbed the religious icon i returned back to Pomor and bro is just slumped DEAD on his chair. Guess he didnt have an energy drink at the ready :(

I had the same trouble. I advise you to pay with coupons instead of going to check the bodies in the field as he asks. I could avoid it that way.

You dont need that weapon anyway. Do the right thing.
On the Watertower near by is a new Weapon you can actual use.

Nah, his house is beyond the range of the poppy field effect. Could have been bandits or mutants following you. Or an emission, which so far for me has been the biggest killer of NPC's since 'cover' only seems to apply to certain buildings, so those scripted to sit in buildings which aren't emission proof are doomed to die (as are the random NPC's who don't even bother looking for cover; there's a small corpse pile building up in a couple of settlements in my game as said NPC's decide to face the emission with their guitar in hand). I'm guessing it's an oversight, but since it's basically free loot I'm hoping they don't notice ...

I gave him the icon, got the weapon and then shot him and recovered the icon (well he did let his partner die). I was able to hand in at town.

Maybe but mitya gives only 1k..and the rifle pomor gives cost more and it's unique but maybe u right
