Stalker 2 is completley broken after 9 hours of playing with only 1FPS for the whole game

3080 10gb Vram
Ryzen 7 3800x
32GB of Ram
980 Evo plus 2TB

This game is broken. Not in that it has lag spikes. NO. This game is only staying at 1FPS NO MATTER WHAT after playing at 50-60 on high settings 9 hours into the game.

I did a fresh install, put everything on low, downloaded to a different M.2 card and NOTHING has changed.

The main menu ranges from 100-250 FPS but as soon as I load into a save file the game crashes down to 1 FPS and stays that way.

Is this for anyone else? I am so disappointed that this has happen already 9 hours into the game and nothing works anymore.

Does ANYONE have any fixes for this? or has the same problems as this

EDIT: I fixed my problem by downloading the newest nvidia studio drivers for my GPU. I already did the gaming drivers but the studio one was the one that completely fixed my game. If anyone else runs into this problem try that out if you can.

Nobody played for 9 hours at 1FPS. why would you think you could trick people with something so silly?

I'm using following mod and it fixed a lot of spikes and memory leaks. It has some blinking textures etc, but the performance is stable at 60FPS lowest on Epic settings and DLAA.

YES! it was doing very well until out of nowhere hitting only 1FPS. I didn't change any settings whatsoever and now I cant even play the game anymore

Try starting a new game and see if it loads in at 1fps... If you get no lag it means somthing is causing a memory leak and you need to go back a few saves to see if that fixes it.

Ok first of all I Have a ryzen 9 3900x rtx 3080 64gb ram

Stalker 2 was UNPLAYABLE was getting 1-5 fps was tweaking all of my settings, but nothing was helping I remember a year ago I had this same issue because my system should have no problem running this. I Used DDU and uninstalled all of my display drivers and preformed a true clean install. A went from not even being able to play on low settings to now playing on high and getting 60-90 fps. I would highly recommend stopping what you're doing and doing this if you're having issues. If I ended hours of trauma lol gimmie some love $MrXDRE

Ive had no issues with this game like this. seems odd. try putting your entire computer in rice

Serious issues on your end, are you sure your gpu is being used, sounds like it’s using your cpus graphics

Honestly, using of modern GPU with old CPU is always bad idea. Maybe thats the part of your problem. I have no problem, no lags or drops with Ryzen 7940HS and so far only one crash after 11 hours, so quite stable for newly launched game.

First off the game is not broken, I'm 31 hours in and had 1 ctd and less than a handful of lags that were fixed by saving quitting and restarting. You must run this game with DLSS or FSR if not it could cause issues. I'm usually against DLSS but in Stalker 2 it is a MUST and does look better for it.

After installation the graphics picked everything up as Epic in 4K (4070TI Super(16GB) and I thought yeah right but sure enough it worked. Running smoothly apart from some flicking shadows on walls in certain areas and had 2 massive slow downs where after killing a bunch of a.i on concrete one of them was clipping causing the program to stutter just within 5 meters of them, another was in a tunnel where the game looked like it completely froze but after 20 seconds came right and a med kit box fell from the roof. Both bugs that will be patched.

For those that are running an NV Card go to the NV Control panel and play around with the manage 3D Settings:
Select DSR - Smoothness to 33%
Max Frame Rate to your monitors highest available (and set to unlocked in game)
Preferred refresh rate - Highest available
Shader Cache Size - 10GB
V-Sync - On

These settings work wonders on my system across all games, hope it helps

Gigabyte 4070TI Super factory OC(16GB)

Even with all the settings to LOW, yes you read it, LOW !!! I get 5 fps many times which is totally unplayable. How in the world would a game give you 5fps when everything is at LOW on a high-end system ? YESS, we tried the other settings too, MEDIUM, HIGH, EPIC, all settings in each have been switched on and off to try to figure out what is going on and nothing, absolutely nothing solved this PERMANENT and CODE BASE nightmare !!!
