Did the hotfix drop yet? I want to buy the game!
I read the reviews and I've seen the bugs so I didn't buy it yet, but I've heard of coming hotfixes.

I haven't had a single bug yet....

most of the bugs they were on about were patched just before launch

'hotfix' is just a buzzword developers use to keep people sweet after a rough launch. Whether it exists is another question. There is a lot of work to be done so don't expect any quick-fix miracles yet.

no code has been touched on the depots according to steam db since launch so any fixes they are doing are on local machines not even up for qa yet

the fix that journalists talk about was applied 2 days before launch and solved 95% of bugs adressed during journalist's reviews

Seems a lot of people are experiencing bugs. I haven't yet. And had one crash in about 5 hours of play. Running on a 4080 super, 5800x3d, and 32gb RAM. In 1440p.

I also haven't experienced the weird spawning issues at all. Not in settlements or with enemies respawning constantly, but I've seen videos of it happening to others. I can't say what the difference is there.

But I will say that events seem to be created close by and not the whole zone operating on what A-Life 2.0 promised, but they claim that's something they can fix? I'm not really holding my breath for that one though. Reload right before a particular event occurred in your game and it may or may not happen again... Meaning there's not some kind of tracking of NPCs and mutants as they move around the whole zone. But there are firefights between groups, and mutants attacking other people or each other around you. I saw claims that only the player character seemed to be targeted for everything and I have experienced quite the opposite.

I've seen people say stealth doesn't work, but it seems to for me when sneaking up on humans. I've gotten right behind hostiles and triggered larger fights with knife kills. Mutants can detect you by smell (says so in a tool-tip), and there's no wind gauge that I've seen, so I'm not sure you can sneak up close on them.

As for keybinds... You can remap most bindings. They left the V button for melee attacking with a gun off that list for some reason. Probably an oversight that'll get patched in later.

So, depending on your rig, you might be able to play relatively bug free. In my personal experience things are running smoothly and I'm enjoying it.

if you use arrow keys to move ladders are hardcoded to wasd

I haven't had any bugs yet but i've only played an hour. The keybinds are messed up though, that could use a patch. I guess that's a bug of a sort.
