Is it the whirlwind one? Cause it's the only quest in regards to an artifact I've got and there isn't even a marker.
Never got one. I only got the fiery one. Then, after the "tutorial", i got knocked out in the cutscene and had an empty inventory.
I don't remember the exact way it went down, but after the science bunker there is a cutscene where you get ambushed and they tell the guy to finish you off, but he just shoots the air and knocks you out. Afterwards I woke up with an empty inventory.
Right after the bunker, immediately outside the door, you have to hunt your first artefact, and then fight a Bloodsucker. You equip that artefact to reduce radiation exposure, then you go plant 3 scanners before getting knocked out and losing your loot.
Well, the artifact disappeared along with the rest of the equipment then, idk what to tell you, I didn't sell or throw it away.
- You find artifacts that reduce rads, you find ones that give stats, you wear both. And of course if it doesn't give rads in the first place you can just wear it...
No, yeah, I assumed it was like before, but I have no clue where to find the anti-rad one right now, which means all artifacts are borderline useless since you start accumulating rads.
Well... obviously they exist, they did in Stalker 1
Quite funny to follow your conversation. But the main point here seems to be that the said rad-reducing artifact is not available at the moment and not to be found "just like this" *snaps fingers*. Knowing there IS one and knowing you once HAD one (and inevitably lost it), does not help.
However, there is also at least one suit that helps in this regard (also quite early). But I agree that it is inconvenient design to find artifacts that can't be used effectively in the beginning.
