anomalous area?

Are they all suppose to have artifacts in them? I am at an area with a massive bubble that tries to suck me in and kill me.... i have no idea if i should be trying to run around it to find an artifact or just avoid it?

You can find stuff in most of them.

That one has a ball artifact in it, you will want some energy drinks tho.

Yea i did just find it, do these areas have only 1 item or sometimes more then 1?

You can pull out your detector and it will blink and chime if any other artifacts are in the area. I can't honestly recall if they refresh after emission events or anything so don't want to inadvertently lie.

Mine did not blink at all for the ball? I just randomly found it while running around that bubble and waiting an answer here.

I went back and double checked, you're right on that one. Its always visible and comes up as an 'altered item' and not an artifact. Actual artifacts will cause your detector to beep/flash and are invisible until you're right up against them.

Only been to two big anomaly fields and I've gotten one weak artifact at each, no idea if there will be more.

If I make an assumption that it's like CoP, there could potentially be more than one, they give better artifacts in deeper areas, and respawn after emissions. I kinda suspect it'll be like that, at least somewhat, but gotta wait and see.

If it helps the effect from the anomaly isn’t constant, but as soon as you take damage you will continue to until it stops sucking in that cycle.

This means you can get right next to the van that is being crushed each cycle, you won’t take any damage as long as you are crouching and not clipped by the effect. Then you can just wait for the right moment to grab the prize then duck back to safety
