Laptop owners
How game runs for you and what specs do you have? Can't find enough vids showing Laptop performances. Found for Asus TUF A15, seemed fine, but on field opinion would be appreciated.
I have Lenovo Legion Pro 5i i9 RTX 4070 32 GB 1 GB SSD, so want to know if I can boil water for tea while playing.

I am on a laptop, here are my specs:

- Ryzen 9 5900HX @ 3.30GHz
- Nvidia RTX 3080 with 16GB VRAM
- 64 GB System RAM
- Game is on a 4TB SSD

I have game installed, but haven't played it yet. Worried about expected performance...
Lenovo Legion
Intel i7 13700 2400Mhz
32GB RAM
RTX 4070
1TB SSD

I'd say I maintain 60 FPS average on epic settings(I think), but I do use the optimizer mod

Laptop is a 1080p screen but I was rendering the game at 1440p without an issue... played a bit in the village with 80fps no drops to 5fps as usual. I normally play on my 4k monitor but at 1440p resolution with the laptop monitor off. I'm wondering if the external display is the issue here.

Nope, but the game does on occasion just drops to 15-ish FPS, friggin annoying but either reloading or changing the graphic settings usually solves it

sounds like a vram issue the sudden flat line is the game hitting system ram well I hope they get a handle on it asap

ASUS Tuf Gaming, 4060, 16 gb, SSD 500 gb, can't remember the processor specs now - anyway, with some tweaking, the game runs like 40 to 60 fps on medium to high settings (some settings are low, however - reflections and sky, namely, as I assume they don't add up much, but are main culprits in burdening the performance instead).

Hello,
Got a ASUS STRYX G614 with RTX 4050 and 32Go RAM.
First I had stutter after 1 hour of gaming and had to quite, relaunch game.
But now, no more pb, I desactived Frame Gen and installed this mod from Nexus
"STK2 - SPF (Performance)-9-1-6-4-1732564055" and everything is fine.
Settings are mostly medium & low.
Now that things are fine, will upgrade some settings higher one at a time.

ASUS Strix G17

Ryzen 9 7945HX
Rtx 4070 Laptop
32 Gb Ram
Crucial P5 Plus nvme

Had problems with vanilla install, fps drops from 85-90 to 15-25 and even worse at POIs.

Found a solution:

https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/17

after changing GameUserSettings. ini Stalker 2 runs smooth like butter with stable 85-90 FPS

Settings:

All High, only Hair, Clouds Medium
DLSS on, Quality
1440p
120 FPS Cap
VSync off

Enjoying now Stalker 2 like it should :steamhappy:

My computer is the AMD equal to a Steam Deck/1050ti but with extra vram/ram. Stalker2 was not playable as shipped. After tweak guides and editing 2 game files it plays in the 35fps range. Sometimes 25 sometimes 45. Spikes at 60. FSR is an illusion and makes the game much worse. I'd rather play in 1600x1200 Native with a smooth mouse than 1080p FSR+FG3 with horrible input lag.

It's enough to keep me from refunding and I'm enjoying the game very much. Can't wait to play it upgraded after Christmas.

So far, DLSS frame gen cause a lot of issue. With it,looks smooth and everything, but in towns it always makes game dip to 30-20 fps and is not fixable until restart.
Now playing on 1080, with hair, post processing, foliage - low, everything else medium-high frame gen-off, getting 80-100 fps,in towns 60-70. No significant dips in any circumstances, but stutters more visible. For me,frame gen causes more issues, plus input lag feels like gameplay is in past present. Didn't mod or edit any files (yet). To not make 1080 blurry, setting sharpness to 80+ does the do.
Man you can play it in 1080p medium settings near flawlessly, lenovo's cooling is goood enough, you can make koptimization blend of low med and high setting it affects fps in positive way. Please refer to this video; https://youtu.be/814y2OPLsX0?si=WW9cqO0unefl0xpv
İ have rtx 3060 laptop, mostly i get 60 -80 fps with medium high (except hair post process low). Game sometijes freezes at rostok or garbage. Problem is not temp or vram. Problem is (somehow!!!) %100 SYSTEM RAM usage. You can not see that on msi afterburner overlay because it freezes too. You ca only see that on performance tab of task manager. The famous frame drops are related to this issue too, By the way i have 64 gb dual channel RAM (2×32 GB 3600 mhz)... how can a now aday game uses 64 gb ram fully?!?... so problem is all about the game. Also it uses forced ray tracing, you can not close it (light shafts adjustment wont work) some say nvidia inspector is a work around but i didn't tested it.
