Download resetted after 50GB

I can't believe it. Let's say I don't have the best connection out there yet.
I managed to download around 50 GB yesterday. Today I opened steam and I saw the download started back from 0/144Gb. What in the actual ♥♥♥♥ happened?

over 70GB of it downloaded for me, went to bed and next day launched steam and... back to 0%... great... another day wasted

maybe clearing the downlaod cache would solve the problem but i'm scared if I do it, it will restart from 0

Exactly what I did after download got reset at maybe 90GB download. After clearing the download cache it fully downloaded to 100%

Same here. About 65 gig downloaded. switched on today, downloading from the start. £90 spent on the game, thanks steam.

Same, had to stop after downloading 128GB, come back from the work hoping to start playing soon and it resets to 0.

Same happened to me, had to stop at 70GB last night, this morning it reset to 0% and when it finally finished an hour ago the game refuses to install due to 'missing files'. Tried all of the suggestions from other threads and literally just 5 mins ago it reset from 15GB to 0GB again. Steam is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I don't know if it's an issue related to steam, maybe it's due ALSO to steam but other several games were just fine, happened only with this game to me

Finally found a workaround the 'files missing' error message. Had to manually move the files from the downloading cache into the main game directory. Upon opening the .exe file Steam managed to download the missing files (which was literally 500mbs worth) and got it to run.

I had this as well, I got to 42% and had to get to bed... Back to it today after work and 0 🤦‍♂️

LOL F waiting 3 days for a game to finish downloading before playing it. If my internet was as bad as yalls, i'd find a new hobby like fishing or sewing or something. Bad Internet is a deal breaker.

BTW my game was done downloading after 3 hours

ikr, fortunately the FTTH is coming within 2 months for me, can't wait tbh because this is embarassing. I'm so scared to shut down the pc to prevent the download to start over, i think I'll wait until it's done. GOnna sleep 5-6 hours and then work
