Sehr passender Name übrigens muss man schon sagen
You said there were no light sources in your hypothetical though.
Go back and try it in older games, its way more tricky. if you get noticed and even one alerts, they all do.
in the old stalker games, bushes are your enemy. They can see through them and shoot you perfectly, but you could not. This was a huge problem in anomaly and one of the frustrating aspects of that free mod.
So yeah, you clearly have never played the old games, lmao
LOL bro, I live in a forest and yes you can see people sneaking up to you under a lamp post just like they can see you when you're walking towards them. My point was that I personally prefer when stealth is more realistic because the AC / Far Cry stealth system feels tired and dated at this point. Your argument is that you want the AI to go easy on you so you can live out a super power fantasy, like a bully simulator essentially.
No, but does it matter? Also no. Just because the old games were badly coded and the AI had bush ESP does not excuse that the next game over 10 years later is also badly coded.
Your argument is literaly "Have you not played the old games, their AI was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as well duh"
You have either have the reading comprehension of a 3 yo old or are plain ass lying, I was over 100 METERS away IN THE FOREST, not sneaking up directly behind him under the lmap post. And if you say you are able to spot somebody more than a hundred meter out in a dark forest while standing directly under a lamp post you are plainly lying m8
bro, stop having a "MUH realism" sperg out. I literally just explained how stealth works in the old games. as someone who played the older games, yeah, the janky stealth system is very much the same as it always was.
Enemies can see you through bushes due to how the AI detection is coded. Bushes dont hinder their detection.
And in older games, they could shoot you *THROUGH* the bushes perfectly while you couldnt see them. So many people played anomaly (the worst one with this problem) with the foliage off or low.
I don't want the AI to "go easy" on me I want them to not be able to see me through ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ walls or in places where its humanly impossible for them to see me without night vision / x ray vision, thats it
should rename the game to shooter instead of stalker
b) If you were paying attention during the prologue the military became aware of the stalker before they attacked because they detected their PDA. It's a bit hard to be stealthy when you're carrying something that looks like the average firework display to anything capable of looking into the EM spectrum.
They weren't badly coded. They didn't really do stealth. That's not a bad thing, personally I've been advocating that the halfwits who insist on putting stealth (or even worse, arbitrary stealth sections) into games should be taken somewhere and shot since the original Thief came out. I'm here to play an FPS, not hide and seek.
a) Yes because you can hear someone from 100-150 meters away that is crouch walking in the forest and can tell exactly that it is a human, sure, you must have got some good ears buddy.
b) I was going to a scavanger camp, neither are they the military n'or are they able to see into the EM spectrum
All you're doing here is trying to excuse ♥♥♥♥♥♥ programming / AI with half assed lore explainations or real life comparissons that don't even make sense cause what you described in "a)" is not even possible IRL for the situation I was in game
