Is there night vision?

I don't think I've seen a single video, screenshot or reference to it. It would be strange if there's no night vision when the previous three games all had it.,

how far has anyone actually played to find that kind of thing? its probably found further into the game on different traders etc. i don't ever remember seeing them at the start of any of the old games.

no NVGs sadly. also no binoculars

that's what I'm talking about! One more core feature missing. This game desperately needs binoculars, and NVGs. Call of Pripyat had both, I think, definitely had NVGs and they were essential. That's something to mod in, in fact I'm gonna check nexus, see if there's a night vision mod. Nope.

Because A-life as we know it was removed not just "not working", binoculars would make it very apparent

This is a massive issue if true. Why did they exclude such an iconic part of the franchise? My goal was to score NVGs asap and focus on night raids/night exploration. Super disappointing. I'm gonna drop the game until a mod comes out that adds them back in. Hope modders get enough engine access to have some semblance of realism for nvgs when they are inevitable added because HOW IN THE WORLD IS THERE NO NIGHT VISION IN STALKER?!?!
