COMPILING SHADERS ERROR
So i was laughing when one of the most famous Streamers today wasnt able to get past Compiling Shaders screen for an about an hour while live streaming for 50k audience. It was funny and sad at same time. Came back home, booted up my top tire gaming enthusiast level PC with a 4090 version that about $2700 alone... Same result. Cant even get past Compiling Shaders crashes with numerous errors saying that graphics car is out of memory. There is no better gaming graphics card out there so i dont know how you guys developed a game and didnt test before releasing it. I will not be review bombing it but I know its coming. Sad is all i have to say.

Same problem, 1.5 hours of shaders compilation and i still cant get in to game. 13900k and 4090. I have already tried to undervolt the cpu - no results.

Same configuration. I updated BIOS, restarted PC and never had an issue again. I assume you have restarted Steam too after install ,because there was a mini patch at some point .

It's an intel cpu problem. Not as bug with the game. You need a bios update, or your cpu is just toasted from oxidation due to overvolting from past bioses. Sorry

stop saying that. I have 13900k CPU as well and rather had it for a while so it probably falls in the category of issue outlined within the link , I just hate that all of you prematurely point to that post to say that its related or CPU is kaput. You don't know ,if these people updated BIOS or when they updated BIOS , so perhaps start with that question first. 2nd , if the person has no issue with any other game , especially Unreal Engine games then chances are its not related to that issue.

Just because it happend on other platform for bunch of other reasons doesn't mesn that Intel CPUs are suddenly not unstable for when this is well known issue Intel had to resolve and Intel is being sued about..

Shader compilation crashes are mostly related to CPU being unstable, memory being unstable, driver being buggy or unsupported, shader cahce got corrupted, etc.

Not sayin you dont have issues compiling but I have an I9 12900ks and MSI Suprime Liquid X RTX 4090 thats overclocked and shaders take me 2-3 minutes to compile.

Yes ,but it does not mean its related to that issue neither nor that CPU is already effected. Needless to say his platform is AMD therefore it cannot be that issue thus it debunks the rhetoric I am talking about.

Alt + Enter as soon as it compiles shaders to put it into windowed mode. It for some reason bypasses the error. Sometimes you'll get an out of memory popup but if you let the shaders finish it seems to do the job.

It didn't help

what did not help? What steps have you performed?

Try to set eco mode in Win power settings

thats a workaround not a solution, he shouldn't need to.

It seems like the people the best PCS always have the most problems. I'm sure this isn't actually true but it looks that way whenever I read through these threads.
