Blaaaah ..............
Hope they fix this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ............
Gutted as I now have to use this obscenely huge default scope attachment when I wanted it for close-mid fights. Aaargh.
Apparently it's a bug where it removes the upgrade permanently if you double click the upgrade again.
Also when you repair a weapon you should exit the menu and reopen before making modifications because that can cause the bug too.
I just wanted to point out, though, that for the attachment upgrades, such as Picatinny rails and laser pointer rails; In the technician's upgrade screen, clicking on the relevant upgrade window TOGGLES THE UPGRADE ON/OFF. If you click on it again after purchasing the upgrade, you're removing that upgrade, so you just need to click on it again to toggle it back on. If this isn't the issue, just ignore this. I only thought it was worth noting.
There is something I have come across in my play through;
I managed to buy an 8x PSO scope, for my Soviet 'VS VINTAR' 9x39mm sniper rifle;
The scope was bought at Yaniv station, and its description says that this scope is meant for the 'VS-VINTAR', exclusively. The VINTAR rifle, (any and all of them), however, comes with a 4x scope ALREADY attached to it, and there is no option to upgrade it or take the scope off.. The rifle that the VINTAR is based off is the AS VAL. Same rifle, just with larger mag, faster fire rate and Dove tail mount options. Haven't tried putting scopes on that rifle yet, but the 8x scope's description does NOT include the AS VAL, only the VINTAR.
I will have to test using 'T' with my VINTAR equipped, and also see if the 8x scope fits onto the VAL.
Damn console port... too many redundant input devices. I HATE how the games industry is treating PC users; By leaving all the console functions in the PC port. It causes issues. STALKER was always a PC game. This cross-platform sledge-hammering is my biggest and deepest gripe about STALKER 2. Why do we have to settle with a below-par, sub-standard, restricted quality game, when we are rocking superior hardware?
Right click to apply an attachment to a weapon is sketchy and often won't list the gun i want to put it on even if it is 100% compatible.
At least this is how i have observed it working for me.
