Crash on start up
Game crashes when compiling shaders, saying not enough video memory. I have a rtx 4090, 64gb of ram, and a 13900k. if anyone has any ideas to fix it'd be appreciated.

Same problem here, and same specs as you by the way

Found a fix on another discussion!

[SOLUTION] Compiling Shaders Crash
This worked perfectly for me.

Go to power settings on your pc, set the power option to 'Power Saver'

Restart the game, shaders should compile.

Big thanks to:

Changing the plan in the power management settings helped me.
Control Panel - Power Option - set to “Power Saver”

Increase nvidia shader cache to 10gb++ should help you guys.

I can't be sure but yeah. AMD here so I cant dive into helping much else.

I had the same problem, with the same components as in the original post.

A BIOS update helped me because there is probably a problem with the CPU, which runs too fast with an older version. I found the tip on Reddit and am happy that the tip was worth its weight in gold.

its both.. Nvidia's handling of cache and 14th gen issues. For those who fixed it with 14th gen updates, still had crashing.. the cache increase helped them apparently.. when I had a 3090 I had to do it for some UE5 titles too.. so

Тому що i9 13/14 покоління дуже нестабільні в мене така ж проблема але я це вирішив зменшенням множника частоти в біосі до 52 на кожне ядро

Just fixed it for myself. By deleting the entire Stalker2 folder in my %AppData%. Dunno if ill have to do this everytime I make new saves or something but it at least resolved the issue of not even booting due to unreal engine error
