A-Life 2.0
So how is it? Expecting it to be worse than OG stalker and basically non existent. Been hearing dogs take cover when you get on boxes and NPC spawning right in front if you.

It's UE5 so it's not exactly equipped for what a life does

The fact that it was completely removed from the store page description shortly before release says everything about it's current implementation in the game.

Maybe that will change in the future and it was too buggy or resource intensive so was deactivated for launch, who knows.

Complete bs. It works basically the same way it worked in SoC. Don't expect a fully unlocked A-Life who can finish the game instead of you, but it's dynamic.

If A-lIfe 2.0 is working as described before it's complete removal from the store page, please explain why was it removed by GSC?

I'm sure some modder will fix/better implement it in time.

I don't know, I don't work at GSC. They've said it's because it doesn't speak to the general audience, idk.

I do know that is present in the game tho, it wasn't "desactivate on launch", that's just you spitting out bs.

The AI blows. There is no "A life" - it's just "Spawn random ♥♥♥♥ around the player to break immersion" - and it does that quite well (break immersion). Stealth mechanics? who needs that when things will just spawn around you.

This is not how you obtain immersion. This is how you make the player feel bored af because it's far too predictable.

I've seen footage that suggests otherwise. So we shouldn't be calling anything bs on either side ATM. It's removal from the description is suspicious and a lot of things happening in game does suggest it is not in. The odd thing makes it look like it may be in. It could just be completely broken ai at the moment but let us not pretend we know either way

Sorry but no.... even in Soc you could observe a fire fight from a great distance, not the way the radial spawn system in stalker 2 works here the npc's/mutants spawn within 50 metres of the player and the action takes place. Walking around you don't hear distant gunshots or anything that would in Soc or stalker titles make the player curious about what happens there.

Perhaps and that is just guessing they needed to remove the true a-life 2.0 because the xflop would not be able to handle it. I sure hope they will patch it back in for pc users.

I said maybe, I don't know for sure.

Your the one spitting out facts that it exists with absolutely no proof.

You should replay SoC, really.

And peoples crying about the A.I spawning "in a bubble" should really learn how the A-Life as always worked in the old game. Boot up SoC, check the console and see how the AI spawn around you except for the main quests npcs.

No, you haven't said "maybe". Totally not forcing this narrative of "THEY REMOVED THE MENTION OF THE ALIFE ON THE STORE PAGE IT'S GONE !"

You asked why they removed it, I responded. So know what you want to say next time.

Yeathis sounds like it is not in

But there is a reason (whatever that reason is) that people seem to be complaining about it in THIS game.

Brother, you are justifying what A life is by standards set 10+ years ago when it was acceptable. The AI ain't up to snuff by today's standards. Nrone of it is even remotely believable in regards to random bandit groups spawning around you and shooting off rounds and killing nothing because they seem to struggle.

It just...feels weird. The world feels TOO lively to the point where it feels fake, and NOT alive. if that even makes sense.

Yea seems like a hostile fanboy potentially controlled opposition hired by devs. Not actually interested in showing evidence just hostile spouting of you're wrong you're wrong.

Let's see some video evidence proving their case please.

I just want to know if it's in or not vvakba is not answering this. Also udk why they removed it is not a frigging answer neither is it does not resonate with target audience. When a feature us removed from a description questions should be asked. If it's not in the description then it's no longer false advertising if it does not have it

A-life had a so called offline component which meant a simulation of what happens what the player could not perceive, but it happened with auditory signals (the before mentioned gunfire in the distance) when the player got closer the simulation would be rendered in, and yes in a "bubble" around the player, but that bubble was bigger than in stalker 2's case.

Like i said most probable cause for the A-life downgrade is the limitations of the xbox.

AH, so now it's not a problem of the A-Life being gone, it's a problem of the A-Life being outdated.

Totally not. At all. If there was a gunfight in the distance, it was being rendered. The "offline" component of the A-Life, which was used to simulate npcs movement and combats on all maps, wasn't really used, except for some part of Clear Sky (for the warfare base capture).

And no, there was not a lot of "gunfight in the distance" in the old games. Again, you should replay them, and not some stupid mods that make the zone like it's a warfare zone.

I was referring to A-Life 2.0, specifically:

WHAT’S A-LIFE?

Often, the game world exists only in the player's field of view. A-Life 2.0 is a simulation system for life in the Zone. Factions and mutants are fighting for living space, migrating, capturing new places, or retreating to safer areas. A-Life is what makes Zone truly alive and unpredictable.

Straight from https://www.stalker2.com/en/faq

Are you saying this is in the game or not?

Get a noclip trainer, pan out the camera far enough in the sky and see for yourself since you are "not sure". Get your proof, post it here, why should I do your job since you are the one iniating the accusations ? :captainclown:

Oh and also do the same with SoC. :)
