Can you sell broken guns (red ones)?

Yellow you can but red are considered broken and you need to repair them before selling.

it cost a fortune though to repair them. i think you take a loss if you repair then try to sell it right? or is there a way to repair them yourself instead of a trader

From what I have ackonwledged only yellow (partly broken) guns can be sold. Red ones are useless to be in your backpack as you first need to fix them, than they’re sellable.

No. The price to Repair is more then the Profit from selling In Yellow and Perfect Condition Combinded. If you see Red Weapons don't bother keeping them unless they are rare. I don't know what weapons are "Rare And Good Yet "

Yes, there is a guy in rostok that buys weapons under red condition AS LONG as they still have some durability. If the weapon is at 0%, you cant do anything with it. Rostok has 2 weapon vendors, 1 of them, the one outside the market buy them. Not for much, but still better than nothing.

You can sell them in Rostok later in the game.

I unload the red broken guns and place them back in the corpses I loot them from, just in case the extra broken guns lying around would contribute to any performance issues later.

best way to deal with red guns is to put them back into the corps so they despawn.

Apparently there is a specific NPC that will buy the red damage ones for cheap.

Ragman in Rostok/bar. Might not buy ones below 10% but buys red ones.

Can put the red ones in the players stash box at a nearby settlement then take them out of the player stash box in Rostok vs carrying them every where.

Unload them for ammo and then put them back. For the most part selling them is not possible and even if you can sell them in Rostok (didn't know that) i would suspect that the weapons you get are not really woth it.

You get a a "teleportation" chest where you could put them if you want to plan really long term but your own weight capacity makes it advisable to trash items with bad weight/cost ratio, such as broken guns and sometimes even yellow ones.
