They can also 1 shot you from full health. I wanted challenge, but it feels a little too far on the unfair side (Mind you, the zone isn't fair). I thought them being bullet sponges was due to playing on Veteran, but if you're on normal... Oof.
Mutants in general seem way to tanky. Btw easy way to kill that first bloodsucker, hop up on the boxes by the ladder to get on top of the bunker, if you stand pretty much in the center on the tallest one, the bloodsucker cannot hit you, and you can shoot it when it gets close to try.
I don't mind how hard they hit, but they are far to tanky.
Constantly healing, and reloading my shotgun.
I had to use 14 buckshots, and a lot of other bullets.
Soo I wanted to lookup if they have armor if invisible, or something xD
I never got around to playing Stalker 1 and I don't know how well this is working out for me.
I get the feeling that Bloodsuckers have some sort of armor value added: had a bit of a trouble killing 'em with normal ammunition, but AP rounds took one down pretty quick.
In OG games uncloaked suckers were easy to kill with a headshot, while the ones that aware of you and cloaked would suck up quite a bit of ammo, so maybe it's something similar?
You're thinking of Clear Sky. In that game bloodsuckers were invincible as well as invisible, so you had to wait to fire until they uncloaked.
