animations stolen from battlefield 1?
i noticed with the TOZ-34, that the animations for equipping the weapon, and running while holding it, seem to be identical to those used in the battlefield 1, when equipping a rifle in that game.

can the developers maybe explain this one?

I can explain it for you: It was probably a paid for asset that works with Unreal Engine. Not stolen, but legally licensed by both companies from a third party animator.

Im not saying they are the same or not, but BF1 uses the Frostbyte engine, not unreal

true. battlefield 1 is a frostbite game. not an unreal game. there is no frostbite assets in any unreal library. someone must have copied it and make it look identical.

somehow i think a developer got a little sloppy. or lazy. maybe he thought it was a unique animation, while he remembered in the back of his head he once played battlefield 1 and thought it looked cool.
It's likely a package of animations, there's a bunch of good ones out there that are all pretty similar, it's super handy to buy them and pay a pittance vs what you'd pay for an animator to do it all from scratch. Games take long enough so as it is, to make. Just because the asset pack is for unreal or unity (or another game), does not limit it to only those game engines (you can export just about anything).
