Out of Memory Error Solutions?
Any possible fix for this issue? 4070 Ti Super with i7-14700KF
Can't get pass the Shader Compile. Get's about a quarter of the way and floods my screen with Out of Memory errors forcing Windows to restart every time.

Its your cpu not video memory. Its degraded. There's alot topics about this issue.

Try going into NVIDIA control panel and go to "Manage 3d settings" and look for the "Shader Cache Size" Option. By default it's something silly like 2GB. Increase it depending on how much space you have free on your system drive, as much as you think you can get away with while not letting your system drive have less than abut 60GB of free space. Your system drive is probably your C: drive. Wherever you installed your operating system.

If it doesn't help it could be related to newer intel CPUs. Updating your BIOS may help.

The culprit is your 14th gen Intel CPU, not the GPU. I had one, same issue.

your CPU is fried man, not the game

Upgrade your BIOS, check your OC settings, etc. That's indicative of a CPU error. Source: I have a 13900K and dealt with that for a long time before using Intel defaults and a BIOS with the 0x12B microcode.
Its your CPU thats faulty. I had the same. I did RMA it, got a replacement and updated bios. Problem fixed. It will not help upgrading bios in your case since its to late for your. BUT update the bios anyways so you are ready for a replacement.

How could it be fried if other games still work fine? Like Silent Hill 2 and RE 4 run as expected?

I once had issues that I narrowed down to my CPU. I sent it back to the manufacturer and they ran tests. They said it had faulty L2 cache and sent me a replacement. It ran many games fine. Other games made it crash like crazy.

You know what caused it to crash the most? Reverb sounds like it caves. So, weird stuff makes it happen. It all depends on how intensive the application on and how exactly it tries to use your hardware.

My shader cache was set to driver default but increasing it up to unlimited didn't seem to change the error. BIOS update didn't seem to solve it either. Some people suggesting processor is damaged but I also ran Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool, which passed all tests so no issue was detected. I also don't experience any other system instability issues or have issues running other games like Silent Hill 2. Hopefully something that can resolved with game patch in the future.

Its a known issue going on with stalker. Dont listen to these bozos telling you your whole CPU is fried because one single game wont run lmao

funny how my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 10th gen cpu ran through shader compile like 6 times already with no troubles yet someone with shiny beefy cpu got crashed alot. Newgen Intel is a joke.

Like people’s said, updating bios helped me with out of video memory error
Saulz Nov 20, 2024 @ 6:52pm
LOL at the people telling you to replace your CPU....just update your BIOS. If that fails or if you don't want to do that, just alt-tab during the shader compile.
