Problem with downloading.

I have 99% game downloaded, it takes me 4 hours. And then it's just drop to 0 and i must downloaded it again.
Someone have that problem ?

Not exactly the same but when the game was almost done downloading (about 80/90%) I did a driver update and restarted my pc to be sure and when I opened steam the download page said that Stalker 2 didn't have enought space and when I made room it started to download from 0%. I hate this. This is the first time I've seen this problem

true. it feels like i've been sitting for 4 hours waiting for NOTHING to download.

I hoped that it was hidden somewhere, something was downloaded to the disk, right

i got the same thing, i think steam just finished downloading it afet 4 hours and after that i got a whole system restart idk why, afeter that steam started downloading it again.... but interesting, there is a folder named "downloading" right near the common folder and it contains the 154,5 gb downloaded data, but who knows why steam just downloading it again... with random speeds...

im so angry, i preordered my game and i cannot play day1....
looks like steam is nearly the same sh*t as the epic launcher....

same, got to 83% after a couple of hours, then paused, I restarted steam, it said it didn't have enough disk space, even though I cleared 200 gigs for this game on my SSD, so I was like wtf? it said I only had 75Gb free space to CLEARLY something had taken up space somewhere. I cleared more space, it restarted but then at 0%!!! what the heck is going on.

clear your steam download cache (google) not sure it'll fix your problem, but it fixed mine with a similar problem with another game.

I got the same error at 99% it says missing files?? It wont let me download other 1% and asks me to download again...

This will delete the already downloaded portion, right? I have 154gb sitting in the 'downloading' folder, which steam refuses to resume, and clearing the cache just deletes this?

This is an old problem that Steam Help can help with. I have run into a few times in the past. I can't remember the fix but Steam discussions help will have tips.


Some things to try before attempting d/l again:

Run as administrator: Try running Steam as administrator to check for permission issues.

Clear download cache: Go to Steam settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache.

Pause download at 98% and copy install older to a backup in case it happens again.

Pause at 98% and Verify game files if it will let you: Right-click on the game in your Steam library, select "Properties" > "Local Files" > "Verify Integrity of Game Files".

Try switching your Steam download region to a different server.

Make sure you have enough free space on your hard drive and temp d/l folder. (run Ccleaner if you do not know how to do this,)

Ensure your Steam client and operating system are fully updated.

i see some of the ppl here playing the game already so it would be nice if someone have a solution for this. I Downloaded it already 3 times and i dont want to wait another 6 hours.

maybe steam tries to copy the data into the right folder but cant bc of space idk

I´ll try to move the data by my own without copy at 98% Download and hope that i can repair it that way. Wish you good luck stalker i hope i can join soon too
