LOL XD nevermind I was wearing my headphones backwards, that fix it. Left for left ear / Right for right ear
i forgot i posted this, but i was wearing my headphone backwards too...
i played like 1 hour and a half like that, i felt so stupid
I ran into this issue straight away on my system (PC Game Pass version, 5.1 audio via onboard Realtek ALC1220.
The fix for me was changing my output mode from 24-bit and 48,000Hz to 16-bit and 44,100Hz. NPC voices aren't pushed out to the periphery and my pistol audio now comes from the center, rather than a surround speaker. Can't guarantee that this will work for everyone, but it did for me.
Same for me for a 7.1 setup, i tried pretty much every combination of signal quality + 5.1/7.1 speaker configuration. Unfortunately, the problem persists.
It sounds as if some sources like npc voices, weapon sounds, etc. are being upscaled instead of correctly rendered within space.
I really hope it's a bug as it's distracting af.
doesnt fix it for me
nvidia hdmi to denon avr
never had this issue before
