The first invisible one I met i died twice but then I beat him the next try. The next one later on I beat first try. Just keep trying. Keep an eye out and pay attention and as I said, use a flashlight, you can see where they are moving even when they are invisible you can see an outline for them.
Yes that worked fine for me on the first one, but the second one I never saw reveal itself once... like I said even when waiting in the corner of a building watching the door but I keep getting hit anyway it feels like they can attack me through the walls from the outside - it's got to be a bug?
Good times!
I mean, yeah, I got the idea with the fist one but the second one almost immediately after it near a cave I get killed in the building without ever even seeing it every time... just crouching in the corner facing the doorway watching for the distortion and I'm getting hit until I die anyway.
Hell, I would be craven once those things experienced. No shame there. More games should be played that way, too bad modern games teach players that they are super-hero's... STALKER will show you the true meaning of zone.
If its in the "barge" location in the prologue then its a poltergeist.
Yep a invisible OHK without any explanation because yeah.. "fun" i guess?
Or are you talking about the invisible monster thing that spawns when you get the first artefact?
Either way dev mistaking confusion and frustration for dread and trepidation..
Not the first one when you get the artifact, I just followed my decades of gaming instincts and ran back into the bunker to lure it through the doorway where I could unload on it and got past that one without too much trouble. It's the second one that the game seems to give you no clue to be able to detect or do anything about...
It definitely isn't fun getting killed for what feels like no reason. I say this as somebody who enjoys soulslikes and plays games that I think I'm going to really like on the hardest difficulty. This isn't a matter of difficulty it just really doesn't give you enough to go on and the previous encounter kind of teaches you that you should be able to kill it.
There's nothing wrong about putting things in games you just have to run away from (some knuckleheads in Resident Evil games come to mind) but you have to make it clear that not running away is a waste of time and not make it seem like it's just bugged.
