Debating to use my Gamepass for the Xbox version until these problems are Ironed out on the PC version.
I9 13900k
RTX 4090
64gb
I've updated the ASUS mobo bios so the overvolt problem with i9 13's isn't a problem anymore. All drivers (intel, graphics, sound) updated. All resolutions tried from low to epic, DLSS on/off, frame gen on/off, starting game as admin.
My other UE5 games run fine.
I managed to play the prologue fine, but after then and when I encountered my first death I started to get this error.
This may not be the cause of the problem, it’s merely speculation.
I do run an I9 14900k and I am aware of the instability issues.
Although this has nothing to do with stalker.. I remember launching world of Warcraft last new expansion and was running fine until the same error Access Violation Memory could not be read.
Believe it or not this was caused by an in game item which was linked to a paladin class placed in the favourites on character selection. In order to resolve this, I had to remove the transmogrified mace from the character and it worked.
Could this be a similar issue happening within the game that a certain object looted in a save file is causing the memory can not be read issues? Just a thought here.
Same here.
I had 4 crashed during 5.3 hrs gameplay. So, don't waste time for looking fix. There is nowhere. It's not PC problem. Game must be better optimalized with speed of rendering and loading draw distance. They get tons sended reports crashing. So fix will comming soon...
i9-13900K, 120GB
RTX 4090 SL X 24GB
It’s not the game , unreal engine is not optimized
I found a solution that worked for me . 2+hours crash free after not being able to get through tutorial
My steps:
Turn off intel thermal velocity boost in intel tuning app . 13&14th gen only
Set a profile for unreal 5 games
-p-cores 5ghz (. Core ratio 50
-e-cores 4ghz( core ratio 40)
When game is running(might have to be done every launch)
Tsk mgr>game>go to details > set priority >realtime
Repeat 1-3> set affinity> select core 0-15. Uncheck 16-X depending on cpu thread count. Basically disable use of E-cores
Worked for me . Hope it helps
It is a pc issue . Most new tech didn’t exist when development began It’s only affecting pc users with high end hardware . I posted a fix below. Now 4+ hours without a crash .
4070 TI Super
Ram 32GB
CPU was heated up to 90. Constant crushes. Downgraded Bios 2 versions back, before intel update. Changed in bios CPU mode 3, instead of auto. No crashes during an hour of gaming. Temperature not higher then 80c.
