Corrupt Save

Literally cant play game. Auto save and manual save doesnt work. Ive tried redownloading the game, deleting cloud saves, deleting local files. STILL can't play. Been troubleshooting this for 2 hours now. If I die i cant load previous save and have to start all the way back at the beginning of the game.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so what did you do to resolve it?

saving is working but if the game crashes you loose all ur saves :D

First run, made it to the roof of the bunker, accidentally fell into the bunker and died, attempted to load my save only to be told it was corrupted. Forced to restart from the beginning, loading saves during playthrough with no issues only to run into another corrupted save.

Bugs I get, but not having a functional/reliable save system is pretty unforgivable. I'm refunding it.

No you don't. All my saves worked after one CTD, it didn't happen again.

Bro I got the same damn issues. I'm really bummed out. If anybody knows any fixes I could really use the help.

I having the same issue, I literally cannot save. The game says it's unable to save. I've done the intro like 5 times at this point

That shows that it's not a completely uncommon problem then. Hopefully it's something they can fix with dropping some post launch patches and it's not something stupid. Stay strong brothers. <3

played two hours...saving and loading fine....login nowand it asked local or cloud save and i picked local as it was newer.....everything corrupted and gone.....starting to think this game may be unplayable in its current state (also had several crashes before this)

I put in a request about this, same situation. Doubt they can help. Playing the game is pointless because if I crash again I lose everything again. Just staring at the icon on my desktop :/

I found out that if it happens that there is a small chance to get your save back by deleting your save folder and redownloading them from the Steamcloud. Had a few corrupted again deleted them and redownloaded from steamcloud, sadly not the 10 hour one T_T

Game froze for me last night and I had to restart after some time playing. Started today, all saves gone

I redownload whole "AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\STEAM\SaveGames\Data\" and CampaignsSave.sav files from Cloud and still game doesn't see these files (New game is the only option)

Well then there is no other option than this being a literal game breaking bug, this should be their top priority to fix imo. I did read they were already working on a hotfix so lets hope this is included

May it be a hotfix to create a script which will periodically back up saves ? But how to force upload to steam cloud?
